What Do You Think About Easy Mode?
I have seen so many videos lately where the YouTube channels are recommending that we make easy, talking videos where we talk off the cuff. I have also seen this video where an artist has a talking video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaSMUwJg4F4 It is mostly a rambling video, and the camera is not even in focus, but I found it really motivating. I don't think he said much beyond what the title says but it inspired me. There were some tidbits that I could take and use. He said something about making videos about making art more interesting, so I went to see how he did that. When I looked at his other videos, they were so much better produced, but they didn't get the views that the easy videos did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Logx93vOGo Personally, I have gotten tired of these low effort videos. I don't need high production, but unless you have something interesting to say, you are just wasting my time. What is your take on these types of videos.

@April Sawtelle - It's telling me the links can't be found April. I'd be really interested in watching this as sounds like a lovely idea and was thinking of creating something similar about setting myself a creative challenge and then literally talking my way through it and the decisions I make, mistakes, and general world stuff so please share the link again :-) Sounds lovely!

New Week :-)
How are we all doing Tribe? I feel a bit of a fraud asking what peoples goals are when I have fallen behind in my production. I'm in the throws of packaging a video that should have been released today so will be a day late but hey. That's all part of the process! So what targets are we hitting this week people? I need to get another video scripted filmed and edited as am away next week and could do with having another one well underway by the time I leave! If you're still in the fight, you aren't beaten so keep going. We've got this :-)

@Joanne Bromley - yeah. I invested some time in sorting you YT set up out and it's time well invested. Creating a comfortable space that is quick to set up and record in really does speed up the process and limit the potential obstacles that you have to overcome to hit record! I love the idea you had of a timer and people working through that 5 minutes with you! I'm doing some similar creative challenges so may well steal that from you. I had thought of doing it as a youtube live and then putting it up as a recording seeing if people joined in on it with me :-)

@Joanne Bromley - It may well be something I try. Would be interesting and think would be lovely to create a space that other creatives could jump into and create together. Will keep you posted. Looking forward to seeing your new set up!

3 in 3 weeks
Despite a pretty mental week managed to get my 3rd video out in as many weeks. Amazing considering I hadn't posted in so long before that. As well as that I was able to draft my next video as well as creating a shot list for what I need to capture to support it so a very productive day. :-D

Wow! 700 is great. Massive congrats! I'm still trying to break the 500 - am on 460 atm! Long way to go but as @Allen Reid said - slow and steady!

Looking for feedback

Hey Michelle. I like the idea of watching a time lapse when hearing an artist talking about their practise. Is that the direction you are taking the channel? It's always interesting to hear about an artist and their relationship with the form they use. I love your take on every artist having their own view point on everything! The whole concept is really interesting and I would love to have heard more about your own personal view on what it is to be an artist and why you create, but that's just something that I'm always interested in finding out about people!
