πŸ€” OpenAI or Claude?
You're probably asking the wrong question. Most people get stuck comparing AI models, but that's not how you get results. Instead, match the tool to your specific task. OpenAI is your go-to for creativity and speed. Use it for brainstorming ideas or automating repetitive tasks. Claude excels at clear writing and deep analysis. It handles long documents beautifully with structured thinking. Stop choosing models and start building systems. Save this for later to pick the right AI every time.

The fact the labs are always pushing each other is great for us. Getting better and cheaper with each iteration. Early on in the game it paid to try different models, however, they've developed to a point now, where personally for me I find OpenAI is my go to lab and is the perfect partner for AskSpot chatbots.

Flow Builder
Can i not add a Question block after this flow? i'm trying to ask another/same question regardless of what option the user picks. but an error comes up saying.....This node already has a parent. Cannot create multiple connections to the same node.

Hey @Dewayne Black - unfortunatley you can't - I thought you could do with loop but I must have dreamt that one haha... disapointingly you can even duplicate a module or select mutliple and duplicate... just got to work with what you got.

API Endpoint for Selective Chat Data Retrieval
Hi AskSpot Team, I'm integrating AskSpot with external systems and currently rely on webhooks. The webhook delivers the entire conversation payload, which can be quite large, especially for estimation workflows. Is there (or will there be): - A REST API endpoint to fetch a chat session by ID - Ability to request only specific fields or variables (e.g., final estimate, user selections) - A way to define a schema for the exact data points we want returned - Support for partial exports instead of full conversation transcripts This functionality would be extremely valuable for storing structured outputs in databases or other systems without unnecessary overhead. Any guidance or roadmap details would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Chandrakanth Udari

You haven't mentioned this in your post but if you're not already using AI this is one thing I've found it does excel at. Using make.com, zappier or n8n drop the conversation in to an AI completion or agent and get it to extract the data you want and export the result as JSON. Then you can pretty much do whatever you want with it. 🀩
Quick questions
I have a few quick suggestions that would improve our workflow if possible. 1. "Select All" for Links: When building a chatbot's knowledge base, could we get a "Select All" option for website links? We could then simply deselect the few pages we don't need, which would be much faster than manually selecting up to 10 at a time. 2. Speech-to-Text for Spotlights: Is speech-to-text on the roadmap for Spotlights? This would be incredible for concierge use cases and drastically improve ease of use. Also, just curious if there are any updates on the previously mentioned Google Calendar integration? Thanks for building such a great product. Mostly loving the spotlight feature.. very unique and beautiful presented to be honest

@Dewayne Black - Hey Dewayne, I don't think a "select all" will be coming anytime soon. If I recall correctly from an early training it's limited for a reason. It makes you think about the pages from a site, the page content and whether to add the page or not. @Kimberly Amio - I think we're all interested to know the when "speech to text" is coming for Spotlights and bots. Dewanye, on the Google Calendar front, all three current integrations sync with Google Calendar - Tidycal has a promotion running on AppSumo at the moment - https://appsumo.com/products/tidycal/?utm_source=originals&utm_medium=site-banner&utm_campaign=tidycal It's a workaround. 🀩

@Dewayne Black I generally check every page first before I add to the knowledge base. Quality over quantity. In some cases I'll take the content from multiple pages and create one document. Some sites are constructed better and more readable (bots/scrapers) than others. Events and FAQ pages are a good example. If the FAQ page uses an accordian style widget, the scraper might be able to see all the questions but not necessarly the answers.
