Happy Mother's Day
To all those who have birthed children... may you be blessed mightily this day and coming year. If you are alone, look in the mirror and wrap your arms around yourself. Look yourself in the eyes. And repeat this, "Happy Mother's day!" Now, point your index finger at your reflection and back at yourself. "We are going to celebrate. So, get gussied up, do your makeup as if you are going to ball. Hold your head high and call a friend to join you. If you drink have a glass of champagne or mimosa with breakfast, enjoy this time. If you are with family, let them, please let them, celebrate you. Sit back and enjoy the good wishes and hugs, sticky fingered and all. Remember you are the Mother of future generations... and you can be a mother in more ways than one. From four legged kids to two... and the biggest meanest mother on the block when someone messes with your kid. You are AWESOME.

If you need accountability partners to keep going just ask! **** I'm continuing to fight with OBS for quality recordings of classes Reworking the whole class page Editting the Manual files Helping users understand WordCrafter.Pro adding, tweaking, and updating WCP as folks send me needs and requests Because there is a limit to what I can do while away from my desk with some of that list I ummm.... Did a thing on my phone yesterday that I might be able to preview below here shortly. Dealing with the administrivia of life, three teenage boys, and 3 separate businesses I don't sleep much or often. ADHD can be a superpower (sometimes) ****

@Michael Culp Beautiful crafting. My compliments to the artist.
Genre Packs
I just found something kinda big missing in WCP. And I do truly appreciate those folks that have found such things as this and all of the suggestions for improvements, so far I think I've taken about every suggestion and added at least something close. Bear in mind I'm still sick and a bit foggy. So this not not be very clear and I'm writing it on my phone. Double whammy. I was wandering the ink&Echoes server on discord trying to plan my own BIAM journey and one of the fine folks there had an interesting genre we don't have yet. So I thought id build it the same way I have it set up for you in WCP. And it worked great except.... I did not build a way to add it as a true genre on the list next to your book title like the rest. Oh sure you can copy to binder and just tick the context box to use it, but not reuse it as easily. Whoops. And the one I added listed a reference document used in planning and marketing but not writhing. There's a few of those hidden behind the skillrooms to make them work better. To create it i just asked genre forge to create thecsupplementary reference file and it did. I didnt add this either. Whoops again. I also shortcutted the process but still like the result. I'll do a video on this when I am a bit more coherent on how to create your own. The manual section on it is close but it still has a few changes I need to make. would it also be helpful to add links to video help in the manual sections? Hosted in skool or youtube? oh and sharing genre packs and custom prompts worth each other! The big one I'm ruminating on and taking notes on is the possibility of collaborative writing... ******Editted I've added the genre pack i was describing above. I haven't entered it into the system yet but I wanted you to see what's under the covers/ The smaller file is what is selected when you choose your genre(s) for your book in the [] on the Book title line. The planning file is much larger and is only used by Story Development, Editorial, Marketing & Merch. Once story development has the plan all the extra is unneeded by the Writer's Room and not splitting them up just increased token use unnecessarily. The Short Story Studio only used the genre file. They do not need that level of detail in planning (most of the time). You can go through the full four phases for a short story and really get into the weeds if you want, but again its generally not necessary from my experience. Please share if you find differently.

BIAM Discount! Share with your Friends
Okay so WordCrafter.Pro is $22 a month with a 14 day free trial (Discount for a yearly subscription). I've added a coupon for all BIAM folks this month that want to try it an Extra 30days free. When their trial runs out and they have to register they can use the coupon BIAMMAY2026 at checkout and get their next 30 days free to be able to finish BIAM. I've passed this on to a couple folks already. If there is enough interest I'll do an every other day help session for the BIAM folks since the custom prompting can be a little tricky. I'm running it both ways as a test. Founders of course will never pay.

Michael, great incentive.
Wild, Wild, Wacky Wednesday
Apparently I'm more productive as a half zombie especially when watching really bad 1960's Dean Martin/Matt Helm movies...(look it up). I want to do something fun today. I'm going to throw out 3 story prompt sand I want everyone who reads it to add to one of the the stories(or all if you are adventurous). As long or as short as you want. If this is well received on Tuesdays i'll do a poll for a genre and we'll do this on Wednesdays to fire up the creative juices a bit. This weeks genre is ....drumroll... Young Adult Why? because I do not completely understand how wide and encompassing this is. So here are your 3 prompts and their authors: 1) BLOOM: "A teen inherits their grandmother's vintage record shop, only to discover that playing certain albums opens portals to moments in music history where something went terribly wrong." 2) CROW: "How about this: In a world where everyone receives a countdown timer at 16 showing exactly when they'll meet their soulmate, a girl discovers her timer is counting down to someone who's already dead." 3) GLITCH: jumping up "Ooh! What about a high school where detention is actually a front for training teenage spies, but the new kid accidentally uncovers that half the faculty are double agents working for—" Start with the number of the story you want to add to in your post and write away. Yes we may get overlaps if two people write at the same time, split perspectives, should be fun!
