IChing font
I am proud to present my I Ching font. I created this font as a result of my search for a complete and carefully structured representation of the I Ching symbols. Since I was unable to find a version online that brought all the elements together in a clear and consistent way, I decided to develop one myself. The result is a font that makes the essence of the I Ching visually accessible: from the fundamental yin and yang lines to the bigrams, the eight trigrams, and all 64 hexagrams in their traditional sequence. The yin–yang symbol is also included, both in its standard orientation and in an inverted version. With this font, I hope to offer a practical and aesthetically refined tool for anyone who works with, studies, or feels inspired by the I Ching. The order of the hexagrams has been arranged according to the QWERTY keyboard layout, making it easy and intuitive to locate and type the desired hexagram.

䷄ #5: Waiting (xū)
Hexagram 5 often shows up when we feel ready, motivated, and willing to move and yet... life doesn’t quite follow our timing. That can bring a little restlessness or worry, especially when we’ve already done so much inner or outer preparation. This hexagram reminds me of a boat - that is ready, clean, the crew is on board, everything is in place, but truth is it cannot really go anywhere until the wind blows. So the feelings that envelop me with this one are around the invitation to relax into the pause, to nourish ourselves, and to trust that movement will come when conditions align. How does that resonate for you this week? ⛵

@Frances Nokes funny how it all connects, this actually comes from Ibn Gabirol, a famous Jewish poet from the Al Andalus period in the 11th century :) « At the head of all understanding – is realizing what is and what cannot be, and the consoling of what is not in our power to change. » Solomon ben Judah a.k.a. Solomon ibn Gabirol Shelomo ben Yehuda ibn Gabirol
On TV - The Three Body Problem
Where have you seen references to the I Ching on TV? There was a beautiful scene in the second season The Three Body Problem in Netflix. Saw it too?

Ohhhh @María Julia Gómez Peral that was about to be my next post on the topic :)) I read the books when I was a teenage and traveled so far in imagination, and remember feeling such big emotions and when I watch the series… wow it was a masterpiece ! Til the very last episode 😍

@Frances Nokes the Pullman series ? Those books were absolutely wonderful.
When things don’t move as fast as you’d like, what helps you most?
Waiting looks different for each of us, especially when things feel ready inside but the outer movement hasn’t caught up yet. Curious about what helps you stay steady, nourished, or grounded while life takes its time :) Please share your wise tips and tricks to deal with a "waiting" kind of state.

@Elwin Berlips yes definitely agree. It's interesting today a friend reached out, she is having difficulties post-partum and a hard time coping with it, even though she knows it will eventually get better. Everybody around her tells us to surrender to the situation, and she cannot find peace in that state. We spoke about this hexagram, and ways to cope, but I could tell it was hard to make the right message land. How you go about guiding someone to surrender?

@Elwin Berlips beautifully said, thank you. You sound like a great father. Agree surrendering is not about letting go of yourself, I meant of letting go of the situation - as of trying to fight the situation.
Help is in the way
Hi all, I would like to share my latest opening around my situation. Before im casting my opening i usualy write about the situation from the bottom of my heart. Usually that starts to move things, and brings some inner input to the situation, so i can warmly recommend about that habit. So basically im exhausted from my position at work. Im self employed and have a eastern medicine clinic for the last 20 years. During the treatments i dont feel that, even the opposite, im shining. But outside the clinic i have the feeling of "holding" my connections with my patients. Ive decreased my working days in the clinic for two days a week, so i still can finance my family in a basic form. I want to move forward, but i cant see what is holding me. And this is what i asked the i ching. "What is still holding me that i cant see?" Ive recieved hexagram 47 with the 2nd line changing to future hexagram no.45 I feel its pretty accurate, but i would like to understand more. Especially the meaning of the 2nd line, or any other info you would like to share. TIA

@Idan Franck with affection. Notice how you already took one of the steps toward the hexagram 45 of gathering, expressing a need out loud within this community 😌

@María Julia Gómez Peral thank you so much for bringing an extra layer of interpretation, it is wonderful how much further reflection it implies!
