So excited for this! Let’s get this party started!! 🥳🥳
Greetings from Chicago
Jak się masz? I’m Annie, long time lover girl shorter time runner girl 🎀 I started running in 2021 after becoming a ✨peloton girlie✨in 2020. I had felt confident enough in my established new love of movement that perhaps I could actually learn HOW to run and not be miserable. As it turns out, when you know things like form, cadence, breathing… it clicks! After a good go of races and an injury in 2022, I was ready - I registered for the Chicago marathon with charity in 2024 and ran my first half in May that year. Then 7 weeks into my training I had an injury and the marathon was no more. I love PT and committing to a bit, so naturally I knew 2025 was in my hand. Training could not have gone better despite miserable conditions, and my first marathon was genuinely one of the best days of my life! Aside from my time training with my charity team, much of my time was training through peloton, and many, many hours and miles with my friend Alex K (who just happens to be an instructor, life is crazy!!) Running has given me so much - courage, freedom, grit, and about 1300 life lessons. I’m also the founder of Chicago’s first radically inclusive all-girls run club. Twice a week I share miles and smiles with some of the coolest gals, sharing my why and love for running with newcomers and seasoned runners alike. Women have a safe space to explore joyful movement. I believe that if you learn to love running, many times it will love you back! Grateful to be here and for the opportunity to mentor our new marathoners.

What charity did you run Chicago with? I ran through charity with the Chicago Parks Foundation in 2024! I need to hear more about this girls run club! I have friends in the Chicago area, I’m in NC🤗

@Annie Rasmussen so cool!!!
Hi everyone from Western NC! ✨
I’m so excited to be apart of this community and cheer you on in the journey to 26.2! My running story starts from me growing up playing soccer competitively. In high school, I ran indoor track one year in high school, to train for soccer naturally. Running was often used and viewed as punishment for me until this point. During college and after, I became drawn to running for my mental health and to get outside when life was stressful. After a few half races, I had the idea of running 26.2 at 26 years old and decided on running the Chicago Marathon for charity in 2024. I was convinced I was one and done and immediately finished and said (through tears, pain) “when can I do that again”? The journey to the marathon truly is something magical, filled with many ups and downs. Runs with friends, tips and tricks learned, fundraising for my charity bib, and so much more taught me more about myself and the need for community in the process. I’ve since run Richmond in 2025, numerous local races, and began leading East Boone Run Club in Western NC (come hang if you’re nearby)! I can’t wait to see you all grow and learn through this time of training. Trust your training, find joy in the journey, have fun, and remember community is essential! 🥳
Hi Everyone! ✨
Super excited to be here to support those running their first marathon & learn from those who have done it a time or two (or three or four). My name is Katelyn & I’m from just north of Philly (go birds)! I started running about 10 years ago after my family decided to do a weight loss competition for the month of January. I am super competitive, so I went out & bought a treadmill on January 2nd. I started walking, then added incline, and then progressed to running. After the month was over (I won), I never looked back! I am a huge Disney fan, so I knew I wanted to run the Princess Half Marathon the following year. I used the Jeff Galloway run/walk/run training program and successfully completed my first half marathon in February 2017! Then, I decided I wanted to run the Walt Disney World Marathon in 2018 for my first marathon. It was a day I will never forget! Since then, I’ve run 40 runDisney races of all different lengths & completed 3 Dopey Challenges (48.6 miles over 4 days). I also ran the Chicago Marathon in 2024 & the NYC Marathon in 2025! I’m excited to see everyone progress on this journey and honored to be a small part of it! Happy running!

We love a Disney race!!! I’ve run three Princess halfs and decided to skip this year (still having some fomo). Also ran Chicago 2024. Can’t wait to hear more of your stories from Dopey, Disney races, + training! ✨
