Hi everyone, my name is Margarita Cruz-Amaro 👋🏽 I’m really grateful to be here and excited to learn alongside like-minded people. I found this community through Evan Carmichael, and the message of belief, growth, and lifelong learning really resonated with me. I was born on May 16, 1967, and I’m a happily married woman to the love of my life since 1987. Funny enough, we were “supposed” to be a short-term contract marriage — and here we are decades later with five amazing adult children (three biological and two bonus) and six beautiful grandchildren. Life has a sense of humor, and I’ve learned to respect the lessons it brings. Professionally and personally, I wear many hats. I’m the founder and operator of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, where everything I invest out of pocket goes directly back into the community, including programs like Toys for Tots, Back to School, this isn’t something I do on the side — it’s the center of my life. I’ve also been a caregiver for over 20 years. My most recent client passed on July 30, 2025, and she wasn’t just a client — she was my mother. I’m still learning how to move forward with grace while honoring that chapter of my life. Caregiving teaches patience, humility, leadership, and resilience in ways no classroom ever could. In addition, I’m a Notary Public, a long-time entrepreneur, and a 30-year veteran with a legacy beauty company that’s been around for over 140 years, where I’ve served as a seller, trainer, and mentor. I strongly believe you’re never too old to learn — once you stop learning, you stop growing. What I love most is sharing wisdom — not just what to do, but sometimes what not to do. I believe advice should be taken from people who’ve either: worked hard to get where you want to go, or lost it all and can teach you what to avoid. I carry over five generations (200+ years) of lived wisdom rooted in family, culture, faith, and experience — spanning traditions from Mexico, Africa, and beyond — and my heart is to pass that knowledge forward in practical, honest ways.
