Subscriber milestone 🎉🎊
Hi! I started my quilting/textile art education channel just under 18 months ago, and this morning I passed 9000 subscribers. Thanks so much for your videos, Alexa!

Congrats. 9000 subs is a lot!
Introduction
Hi, my name is Joanne, I live in the UK and have a right mess of social media, youtube and now skool! I currently have two YouTube channels - the first under my name was set up to document the journey of hitting record (about 400 days of 1 min videos to get comfortable!), and the second was set up more as a teaching vehicle - that is called quietinclass.com. To date any paid work has come from people who know me or have seen me work and I want to change that. I can't believe what a mess I have gotten myself into with all of this, still looking for the audience that will pay and trying new ideas all of the time. I've spoken to Alexa in the past but felt I wasn't close enough to nail ideas down and here I am over a year later (and more?) saying I still need time to figure it out. I'm hoping the community will be like minded people also figuring it out.

Welcome Joanne. Sometimes wanting to do a lot doesn't get results. Simplifying can help you make small steps forward.
Quick Intro
Hi! My name is Ricardo. I started 4 YouTube channels on different topics that I'm interested in, but spent the majority of my time on two of them. The growth was slow and I started studying why. As far as I understand, I was focusing on the topics and concepts of the videos in an academic and impersonal way instead of focusing on what people actually need. The information is needed in the end, but with a different presentation. In order to make this change I decided to erase all my videos of the 4 channels (more than 200 videos in total) and start all over with the new strategy. I can reuse any parts of the previous videos if it is necessary. Right now I'm going to start the new series of videos to see how this changes and start making adjustments in the way. At this point I need to learn more about titles, thumbnails, and hooks. Any advice is welcome. It's great to meet you all!

Welcome Ricardo. I suggest you focus on just one channel when you're starting out on YouTube. On a topic you're knowledgeable and passionate about.
Over 40 creator here!
Hi all, I started a YouTube channel a few years ago and nailed my niche to Mindset & Modern Wisdom > 40. It started as a hobby, and now I'm taking it seriously as a creative way to provide value to people. Happy to meet all of you. I hope I can provide value with my opinions while learning from all of you.

Welcome 🤗 If you have personal experiences that can help others improve their lives, as you have, you could become a mentor for your audience. Think about what value you can provide to your specific audience.
New Be.
I am a new YouTube content creator as of today. I have a legacy project to document fitness and meditative style. I upload 3 videos today, but have left them unlisted for now. I'm thinking about batching 3 more before releasing them. (Total of 6)

Ciao, welcome 🤗 After you've produced three more videos, you could publish at least three in quick succession and then schedule the next ones based on your long-term, consistent publishing schedule. This way, those who view your first video immediately have something else to watch and the regular cadence allows you to get your audience used to it, as well as allowing you to improve through ongoing production efforts. However, this must be sustainable and not tire you out.
