Updated Banner Wirh My Photo
Hello Tribe May I please have your feedback on the included Banner. I removed a couple of rows from the original Banner from a few days ago and asked ChatGPT to bring more of the background forward. I used to live in Oregon surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, Evergreen trees and Pacific Ocean. I don't live there anymore but I love this type of environment and hope that one day move to a similar area again. My favorite colors are red and black. I took this photo 2.5 yrs ago by the ocean in South Texas. Do you think this photo is okay or do I need one from today without a cap. Thank you

I think it's a good banner too. Check if the dimensions are suitable for all devices.
Using Claude to find out why my channel could fail - and getting helpful insights
After a long conversation with Claude today about my new channel (no videos yet - but planned out for 10 videos) - I asked this: If 12 months form now my channel failed, what would be the most likely reasons? I got an answer of most likely reasons in order of probability> It then asked which ones worried me most. After my answer - it gave me ways to be aware - and prevent.

@Monika Astara Murphy Find your publishing pace. Start slowly and consistently, then create a routine that allows you to maintain a publishing cadence over the long term, without being too difficult to maintain. Have fun ๐Ÿ˜€

@Monika Astara Murphy Two long videos a week is a great start ๐Ÿ‘
Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹
Iโ€™m new here and new to YouTube (6weeks and 11 videos in), and I have a question. Given Iโ€™m in a very specific niche (women in perimenopause), which limits my audience to a small window of women between 40-50 roughly, and then down to my actual audience, of those women who actually want to take action to take back control of their life from perimenopause symptomsโ€ฆ and itโ€™s educational contentโ€ฆ I strongly believe it will do well eventually, but I also believe that it will take longer than other niches that have a wider audience, say for instance like โ€˜how to grow on YouTubeโ€™ etc. So at the moment, 11 videos in, Iโ€™m sitting around 5-211 views. How long can I expect it to take before your tube starts to notice me and the channel gains some traction? The general advice Iโ€™ve found is 3-6mths minimum, so would you assume for a small audience like mine, that I could expect that timeframe to be doubled? And perhaps see traction in 6-12mths? Whatโ€™s realistic? Iโ€™m in this for the long game, I just want to set realistic expectations for myself and I donโ€™t know enough about YouTube.

All three have nice graphics. Looking at the font size at the bottom, I think they're too small to read on a mobile device, especially if your audience is older people with less-than-perfect eyesight. So I'd write less text and eliminate the small print: less information, but more visible and effective.
Why I stopped spending hours on the edit and what I focused on instead
I thought a better edit meant a better video, I was wrong I used to think a longer edit meant a better video. That if I just tightened it up enough, removed every unnecessary second, added the right music underneath, it would perform better. It didn't. Or at least, the edit had almost nothing to do with it when it did. What I eventually worked out was that the edit is the last place a video gets made. The real decisions happen before you record anything. What's the video actually about? What problem does it solve for a specific type of person? What would make someone stop scrolling and click on it? I was skipping all of that and going straight to recording and editing. Which meant I was sometimes spending four or five hours producing something built on a shaky foundation. Here's the clearest way I can put it. Think of a video like a shop front. The thumbnail and title are the window display. The hook is the door. The edit is the interior layout. Nobody ever walked into a shop because the shelves were neatly arranged. They walked in because something in the window caught their eye. I was spending all my time arranging the shelves and wondering why nobody came in. Once I started treating the idea and packaging as the real work, the edit became much quicker because I knew exactly what I was making and why. The videos weren't longer or shorter. They were just built on something solid. What does your prep process look like before you start recording?

I'm also trying to simplify editing long videos. Now I'm focusing more on good editing only on the intro, the hook, which is part of the packaging along with the title and thumbnail. Creating dozens of videos helps you understand what works best and optimize your time โฒ๏ธ
