Buddy work
Would anyone be interested in acting as a buddy here re getting some jobs done I’ve been putting off? Say, setting a day and just adding comments re what going to do and then checking in with each other through day? I’ve been putting some sound checks and problem solving I need to do and the buddy system has worked for other things. Let me know. Also not 100% sure if this contravenes any rules here.

@Carolina Berys great, I’m on holiday now, will get back to you in a week. Would so love to tackle the stinky projects that have been sitting around for a while.
Moving forward
Hi friends I have recently been made redundant and now have the opportunity to increase my YouTube videos and really try to make something bigger out of it. I have a budgeting channel which makes about £100 a month in adsense, and im trying to create some other income streams on the back of that. Im ready to do something more, and wondered what others would suggest to the following: I would like to create a podcast interviewing entrepreneurial wonen about their work and story, not necessarily related to budgets.. would you do this on a separate channel or risk creating it on your existing channel? Thanks 😊

I don’t know but documenting your journey kind of videos sounds like a strong fit with your channel. What did you do when you first found out? Did you cancel anything immediately? Etc. I’ve done interviews and love them but found they were a lot of work and didnt get the views. It may be worth it to be reaching out and having new contacts though.
Introduction
Hi, my name is Joanne, I live in the UK and have a right mess of social media, youtube and now skool! I currently have two YouTube channels - the first under my name was set up to document the journey of hitting record (about 400 days of 1 min videos to get comfortable!), and the second was set up more as a teaching vehicle - that is called quietinclass.com. To date any paid work has come from people who know me or have seen me work and I want to change that. I can't believe what a mess I have gotten myself into with all of this, still looking for the audience that will pay and trying new ideas all of the time. I've spoken to Alexa in the past but felt I wasn't close enough to nail ideas down and here I am over a year later (and more?) saying I still need time to figure it out. I'm hoping the community will be like minded people also figuring it out.

@Nanette Irvine thank you, I need to remind myself what I do have, I’m pretty good at listing the things I don’t!

Thank you. I’ve decided on my people and the service just need to tidy up a lot! I also need to be careful where I am directing people to.
Still confuse
I am still confused about what I should be filming about. I think I just have to start something until I find myself?

I started by filming one minute a day diary of the journey. As I went on I would have little impulses to record something else. I did this because I knew I needed on camera practice so for me it was skill building not just finding my subject. I was also wondering who my people were, not as in who has the problem I can help with, but who likes watching and listening to me. Me as I am now not me when perfect! Ive shared a lot of tech fails and I still feel like I am learning that side of things.
Additional inspiration
Colin and Samir have a second channel where they break down struggling channels and help them to grows. It’s called Creator Support and I’m about to start watching my fourth video on the bounce.
