One Move over all moves.
We have probably talking or thought about this many times. As people get older and injuries limit movement. What’s one move or combo… you would choose to have but NEVER lose?

Risky for me now: Standing swipe drop to shoulders > reverse kip up > mills (revert back to reg direction), no hand pop up. Fav combo : Double Head track > swipe > halo > swipe > mills > back spin > babies> drill halo > Baby Freeze. And a dope pants splitter is: Macaco > half split lol

If you could time travel...and throw down?
Here's an interesting thought... How far back would you go? Where would you go? Who would you challenge?

To Lose is to Gain?
** I apologize if this is a bit heavy ** Now the loss I speak of is .. Life of a loved one. In Loss… it’s either a wake up call or a shift of perspective. This space … is intended to go beyond the cipher. Movement is just something we can relate to… When we are young in the Breakin’ game… we are distracted by the culture and the movement… I want to achieve a level of dopeness or respect. On the outside of that … is reality. What we experience as a human. At times to Break can be our getaway. But we can’t outrun what we can’t control. Injuries Getting old And Loss I pray you all gain the strength and preparedness you need in order to face those things. You are not alone and if it wasn’t for having Hope in the after life … I would truly go insane 😅. God Bless you all. Hope to connect more in the coming months 🙏🏼

Forgot to respond to this post. I just have to say that this is - in my opinion such an important space. I am very thankful for it. Often in life, we don’t realize that sometimes it’s the little things during big ideas and work overtime. That really makes a difference in people’s lives. Thank you again for doing this
Do you see yourself as an artist?
With my passions: Video, Spoken-Word/Writing ... I've always wanted to create a theater show. And I did lol . . . In 2004 I completed and performed my first theater play → 4 Bellies (an exploration, a battle of the mind and soul through spoken-word and dance). Maybe I'll share someday 😄 But...I want to hear from YOU. What’s something you’ve always wanted to mix into your dance that people might not know about you?

@Richie 'Abstrak' Soto thanks man. I know that the music is gonna reach some people. The time will come. That idea you’re talking about reminds me of the ghettoriginals! I think YouTube is what I gotta get more acquainted with these days. You’re very right about that. Several years ago Rudy Goblin and I were talking about what he was about to jump into with performance art. He was encouraging me to release my poetry. Watching him do his thing was also motivating. Producing a solo show might be a fun idea 💡

Great Video on 'The Biggest Fears' by B-boy Intact
@Andrii Intact Kurnosov Great video brotha. Very necessary discussion. I know it is something we all go thru → Early and Late stage of our Breakin' Journey/Career. In my early days...the pressure I felt was entering the cypha and messing up. Thinking of what people might think of this 'Unknown' person. And then, later on in Life dealing with the same issue ... of finally having 'A Name' in the game → the pressure of maintaining your reputation, etc.

I agree, especially if somebody who is competitive and in the thick of what’s going on. It’s a conversation I used to have with jazzy Jester back in the day. It was relevant because at the time in the early 2000s we were starting to go to the United States. We noticed the implications of that type of “expectation“ from observation at first and then personal experience. Later on, I always made it a point to “never teach the same class twice”. Or when I would return from trips, the feedback I would receive from my crew, is that I would always be doing something different looking for a new way. So I completely understand. Also, life circumstance comes into play. Some people like myself are practically retired or at least semi retired, chronic injuries, etc. So, repping foundation, signatures and experimenting in, private is just fine too. Never should be afraid of cypher, true. that’s the conversation and the life blood of the dance itself. Too much ego gets in the way of something that is very pure. I think being honest and straightforward about why you do what you do is also very important, being respectful as well. Having integrity like Maurizio says is quintessential. In other words, never have to be a people pleaser, or front. Or don’t have to do anything of what people expect you to do, or want you to do. You have your own story. Like Poe has said to me in the past: “..hitting up the jam and working on the sweep the whole time. Some guy comes up to me and asks - ‘Hey Poe, why are you doing that sweep all the time? Why aren’t you try doing something different?’ And then Poe replies. “ because it just feels fresh and that’s what I feel like doing.” It’s wonderful that through this dance we can push our capacity mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I think the relationship between people in a circle is very intimate. It’s like samurai and warriors, you get very close. And not everybody’s ready for that. But again, that is the spirit of our language and one of my favorite parts. So definitely I can overstand . Word up ⚡️
