Weekly Calibration
Did you take a moment to look back at last week? To see what went well and what felt off? No judgment, but awareness. Are you proud of last week? Did anything feel off? When did I rush when slowing down may have helped? Most people skip this because they're afraid of what they'd see. But progress starts with honesty. And you're looking for clarity, not perfection. Small course corrections on a regular basis make a huge difference over time. One habit, one behaviour, or one thing to stop doing that drains energy. They compound. Don't continue to be on autopilot. Act with purpose and intention. With clear targets at 200, 300, and 500 yards. What deserves your best energy this week? Where can you be more present? And what will my good week look like? Slow down at least once a week to reflect, and the rest of your life will speed up - in the right direction. Be honest, do you practice this? Do you think it's nonsense? Share your thoughts. #sharpshooterlife

So true, David. I’ve recently had to navigate some tough challenges in my business due to a bad partnership. As a result, I’ve been forced to lean the company out and scale back or eliminate some services we actually enjoyed providing. To keep things stable, I had to slow down, reset, and refocus on what truly matters for the company’s long‑term health. It hasn’t been easy, but the clarity that comes from recalibrating has been worth it.
Welcome to the Sharpshooter Life Community!
Welcome to a community of high performers and entrepreneurs who are interested in being better and doing better. In this community, we don’t just chase activity; we master the Sharpshooter mindset. We focus on building a deep foundation so that success becomes a predictable result of our systems, not a stroke of luck. This is your space for the small, meaningful reminders and the accountability needed to stay on target. We live by three simple pillars: - LEARN: Discover the mental models that drive high-level execution. - PRACTICE: Apply those lessons to your business and life in real-time. - COMMUNICATE: Share your challenges and wins with those who speak your language. Introduce yourself below so we can help you sharpen your aim: 1. What are you building right now? (Entrepreneur, High Performer, or both?) 2. What is your 500-yard target? (What is the big goal you are aiming for in the next 90 days?) 3. What is one "resource drain" you’re ready to let go of? Drop your intro in the comments. Let’s get out of our heads and back on track. Let's gooo!

Hi everyone — Manny Rey here from Craft Mechanical in Chicago. We’re a Union HVAC contractor working across a wide range of project types. Depending on the job, we’ll team up as a subcontractor under a GC or a larger mechanical prime, but our favorite setup is acting as a small prime directly for owners whenever possible. We work in a variety of industries. Recently we wrapped up a health clinic project, we’re kicking off a campground renovation, and we’re also involved in wastewater treatment facility work. I’m always looking to connect and collaborate with good people. Strong relationships matter to me — and if I sense things heading in the wrong direction, I prefer to end the working relationship on good, professional terms. At the end of the day, that’s what makes being in business worthwhile. I truly enjoy the work we do and the partners we do it with. Looking forward to connecting with others here.
