1 week sober.
Title says it all. Ngl, this has been rough and whiskey is on my mind a lot. Went out on a date night with my wife and stuck with water. No cocktails, no sodas, just water. That’s this week’s win. Let’s F*ckin Go! 💪🏼

@Anand Krishnan Thank you for sharing! I stopped drinking on November 8th. It was rough getting through thanksgiving without a drink but empowering after.

Hello! I am Manny. I grew up in Philly. I currently live in northern Virginia and work onsite as a Cloud Engineer. My frame works for fitness came from my time on my high school gymnastics team and, later, the Army. I enjoyed developing my fitness until about 2022 when I had surgery for an umbilical hernia. Unfortunately, the hernia reoccurred and I haven't had the surgery to repair it again. Additionally, I recently experience trauma to my meniscus. Because of these issue, fitness has been rough to commit to because of the pain and discomfort I feel in my abdomen and knees. My goals are to manage the pain and develop my fitness through calisthenics. I am currently 200lbs with the goal to get down to 180lbs by June 21st, 2026. Along with working out, I will commit to fasting (16:8) daily starting today. Additional goals include daily Spanish practice using Duolingo and reading for at least 15mins a day. I am on a 9 day streak in Doulingo and I am currently reading "How to Hide an Empire" by Daniel Immerwahr

Manny | It's been nearly 8 years since injuries sidelined my fitness. The time to get back in touch with my physical self and make up for lost time.
