My first full year was ...red 😩
Sigh. Taxes. After all the number crunching it came out to costs: $3584.22 (and that's everything from website upkeep, covers, supplies, ads, this, etc) and income: $3512.04. So in the red $72.18 for 2025 (my first official doing this seriously year). Which, I guess is basically breaking even. Really gotta step up my game for 2026. I could use some encouragement and/or what was your first year like?

I wasn't even remotely close to profitable until year 3, and then it was finally paying back the prior years. Year 4 was when real net profit kicked in. You got this. $72 in the red on year one is like top 10% for authors

We have some out of town appointments tomorrow, so we'll have to cancel the round table this Tuesday

Today's Class Moving to Next Week
Hey folks, the timezone shift (we don't do DST here, so everything gets wonky) caused a double booking for this Monday's bonus class. As a result, we'll be doing it next week. Sorry about the mixup! <3
Strange Facebook Ad problem
I typically create five to seven new ads per week, and most of them do fine (for a while). Oddly, there seems to be a problem recently. Starting with the ads I created on February 10, all my new ads are NOT showing any Results (clicks) in the Meta ads dashboard. And therefore they stay in the Learning Mode. But in the Amazon Attribution dashboard, it still shows that I am getting about the right number of click-throughs. If I set the ads to charge me by impressions, I still get charged about $5/day (which is my budget). If I set the ads to charge by link clicks, then the Meta dashboard shows that I am spending almost nothing (about $2 to $3 per week), but the Attribution dashboard shows that these ads are making money (about $35/week). Don't get me wrong... I would be happy to continue paying $2/week to make $35/week for each ad, but something obviously isn't working right. The two ads I made on Feb. 10 stayed in Learning Mode until a few days ago when FB marked them as "Learning Limited" (they aren't getting enough link clicks to exit the Learning Mode). And all the other ads I've made since February 10th are doing the same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this in their FB ads account? The screenshot shows the five ads I have created since February 10. @Malorie Cooper @Jill Cooper
