Is lack of time the real problem holding you back from progress?
I used to always blame lack of time as the problem for my progress on Skool. I was working in my 9-5 and doing this on the side. @Bill Widmer has shared something so important when managing time... MOMENTUM The truth is, we always look for things externally to justify why we are not where we want to be and what is holding us back. Since my ADHD diagnosis in 2024, I have been asking myself what my relationship with time is like. There are a few moments I get lost in time, and they are a gift and a curse. I call this Hyperfocus / Time Blindness Something that I noticed is that I scattered my attention everywhere and that lead me to burnouts and not feeling like I achieved anything by the end of the day. I would even say decision fatigue is a huge one too because it makes us navigate to quick dopamine sources for stimulation. Time is such a precious asset we have, but often we are spending it in the wrong places doing the wrong business activities or not working on the bottleneck. It impacts other areas of our lives without us even realising too. You want to grow your social media? You want to build a thriving skool community? You want to ship your work? This all requires time and energy, and you need to protect both at all costs. The amount of time will not matter and I know because I have experienced both side. Going Full time on skool was actually harder for me to start then I had to time block and optimise my calendar to protect those windows in my day. You have to sacrifice things to protect that time, and that is the harsh reality of building a personal brand, community, following, and anything purpose driven. Look closely at your relationship with time, and it will leave clues about what you need to work on most right now to make progress on your mission. Where do you want to protect your time?

I feel like I always get scattered in the pieces of things. It’s like I want to work on all of the steps of a task at the same time. Or I’ll bounce between three or four things I need to get done but not focusing long enough to finish any of them 😩
Hi!
Hey everyone, I’m excited to be here! I’m really looking forward to the body doubling and the eat the frog sessions! I’m a student, mother, entrepreneur, and life long learner. I can’t wait to get to know the community 💚

@Alena Sladkovská I and still streaming! How’s streaming been for you? How did you end up getting your diagnosis, if you don’t mind me asking?

@Alena Sladkovská thats exhausting and real. Even with the diagnosis from when I was young, I still struggle to accept help and advocate for myself. It’s hard not to feel like I had to try harder and be more. I found that streaming was a huge drain when I was younger and now I just play video games when I can fit it in for an attempt at productive free time
Hello Fellow Founders!
This is the first community I joined when I joined Skool back at the end of October. Which feels so far away now! I am a therapist with ADHD and my speciality is ADHD. I joined Skool originally to host my course on ADHD. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I can say that I found a community. I've already made so many great friends on here. Over the last few months, I've been focused on learning Skool and navigating community building. I am a therapist and educator first and an entrepreneur second. It's a bit of a learning curve, but I am slowly figuring it out. During this time, I was withdrawn from most of the communities I joined. I am making an effort to increase my activity in other communities. So you will see me posting more in here. I am all about ADHD Neuroscience, understanding ADHD patterns, and giving people facts and real life strategies that they can use to better manage their ADHD. I truly believe that if you can understand the Why behind ADHD that is the first step to improving symptoms of ADHD. Please reach out with any questions - I am always happy to help!

Hey, I’m currently a Counseling student and would love to know more about how you got to specialize in ADHD! That’s been a huge goal of mine!

@Elizabeth Hadzic thank you so much!
🪞 The one question that just made my client an extra $5K
I had a client on a call this week. Spiraling. 🌀 Retainer client demanding more work. Scope completely changed from what they originally agreed to. He was stuck in the loop of "but I want to be helpful but I don't want to push back but I need this client but I'm working until 1:30 AM." 🤔 I asked him one question... "If you didn't own this company. If a friend ran it and told you what was happening. What would you tell them to do?" ⚡ He answered in three seconds. "Renegotiate. Obviously. Or walk." The advice you'd give a friend is almost always the advice you should be taking yourself. You're just too close to your own story to see it. 👀 When you can't see your business clearly, take yourself out of it. Imagine a friend just told you the same situation. Now answer. 💬 What's something happening in your business right now that you'd give a friend clear advice on, but you keep dodging for yourself?
