AI, SEO, and the Future of Solo Entrepreneurship
I had the pleasure of chatting with @Seth Goldstein, long-time founder and host of the Entrepreneur's Enigma podcast. During the chat, I share: - How I became an entrepreneur over 13 years ago (the progression from college student to founder) - How I'm leveraging AI and automations to grow my business - What happened with Rex and I and what's going on with The Momentum Lab - And much more Check it out and LMK what you think!

Using AI, LinkedIn, and Warm Referrals to Close $14k Deals
Hey, founders! I've been hard at work growing my LinkedIn profile and closing deals with new clients. I just landed a possible $14k deal yesterday. So I figured I'd share how I'm doing it. First, warm network. I have 13 years of experience in SEO, and dozens of past clients. So I reached out to all of them to check in, see if they are looking for help with their SEO, or if they could refer me to someone else who is. The majority of my business has been built on referrals; if you're not reaching out to past clients or asking for connections yet, start there. Second, LinkedIn. It's a VERY powerful tool for finding leads and growing an audience if you're in the B2B space. I followed @Sam Rathling's advice and re-vamped my profile, started connecting with 100+ new people every week, posting 3-4 times per week, and sending cold DMs. Soon, I'll also be writing LinkedIn articles. If you want to be recommended by AI for your work, LinkedIn articles are one of the easiest and fastest ways to do that (LinkedIn is the #1 most cited network for professional queries on most AI platforms right now, and it's growing). Finally, I'm using AI for ALL KINDS of things. Recently, I redesigned my entire website to speak more clearly to my ICP (ideal client profile), and hit EEAT signals (expertise, experience, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness) to be trustworthy to Google and AI. Check it out here. Shout out to @Mark Webster and his amazing AI accelerator for teaching me how to do it. I'm also using AI to create a daily CEO dashboard for my life that tracks all my personal and business goals and reminds me when I have tasks due or haven't moved a project forward in a while. It's amazing to keep me on track. What is everyone else doing right now to win clients and make their lives easier with AI right now? Drop it in the comments!

It's been quiet 👀 here's what's going on
Hey founders, real talk; Running a business with ADHD has it's challenges. Who knew?! But my ADHD isn't the reason I've gone quiet in here. It's actually because, since Rex and I split, I've needed to refocus my efforts on my main business: SEO for B2B SaaS. I've been doing SEO for nearly 14 years now. I've worked with companies like Monday, Oberlo, AppSumo, Ahrefs and, currently, Semrush. SEO was my second love (writing was my first). My runway for running the experiment of making this Skool community my full-time focus dried up a few months ago, and I've had to refocus on my main income earner. I've absolutely loved building this community - especially the defining moments, like celebrating getting the star and becoming a top 1% community with @Tommy Gan and @Izzy Piyale-Sheard. The past year has given me many moments to be really proud of. And many moments that made me want to rip my hair out. (Typical entrepreneurship!) Anyway, here's what that means for this community going forward: I'll commit to writing one post per week. No more, no less. I'd rather show up consistently with something real than try to run a full curriculum I can't sustain. You'll get my honest observations from the trenches of building a freelance SEO business with ADHD, including what's working, what's blowing up in my face, and what I'm learning about SEO in the age of AI. I'm also committed to being there for the Momentum Lab members. @Jen Ritchie @Alena Sladkovská @Emily Satel @Rachel Hasson @Stijn Van Den Bossche @Amber Kay. We've been meeting twice a week every week since this thing started, and they've done some cool shit. (Shout out to Jen for doing her 5-day challenge launch and hitting her MRR target! And to Emily for starting her private practice, to Rachel for launching her new offer and bringing in some new clients, to Amber for massively increasing her prices and finally bringing in a livable wage from her business.)

@Kim Petersen where in the world are you?
Hey There👋🌻
Not sure if introductions are a big thing here, but I'm going to do one right now - I'm excited to meet you all! I'm Kim. A German AuDHD weirdo and loving it haha When it comes to business, I'm an author, a therapist, have been a self-publishing coach and am now in the process of combining all my ventures into one by coaching other business owners on how to overcome their fears, self-doubts, worries, insecurities and other roadblocks that are keeping them from building the business they are meant to build. But rather than using the same old business- and "you just gotta shift your mindset and think positive"-tools I do so using tools that actually work aka the tools I learned in therapy that manage to get depressed people back out of bed and phobic people to overcome their phobias. As for my personal life, well I've got ADHD so there are more projects and hobbies than I can list haha, but here are my favorites at the moment: gardening, going for walks in nature, pilates, cooking, working on my business, doing jig saw puzzles, exploring new places, cafés & restaurants with friends, writing and a great many more things Current Special Interest: Becoming a ranger in Africa 🦒 Looking forward to connecting and helping each other grow💛

Hey, Kim! Welcome!! From one weirdo to another :D We have several other therapists in here, including @Emily Satel! We can also relate to the many hobbies and interests :) Fun fact: I did a motorcycle leadership bootcamp in Namibia! It was amazing.

@Kim Petersen It came across my Facebook feed in an ad and I couldn't resist haha. But it's a longer story that that. It started when my ex-girlfriend's van broke down in Oregon and I met a guy who loved dirt biking...
Newsletter / Skool advice
I'm considering adding a newsletter to send to my app users. Currently, we have a decent number of users who download the app and then drop off pretty quick. Our initial solution was to send them to our Skool community via in-app popups and email drip campaigns, but I'm thinking that asking someone to join a community that they know nothing about may be too big of a step. That's where the newsletter comes in. It's a fun and valuable way to give them a clearer idea of what we do and the benefits of the community delivered directly to their email. It's like the first step of being in the community (without needing to be visible or pressured to engage). Any thoughts?

Newsletter would be perfect for this. You can also set up an AI automations that make a newsletter extremely easy and would double as Skool community content, I’m a big fan of repurposing things a cross several platforms.
