Is lack of time the real problem holding you back from progress?
I used to always blame lack of time as the problem for my progress on Skool. I was working in my 9-5 and doing this on the side. @Bill Widmer has shared something so important when managing time... MOMENTUM The truth is, we always look for things externally to justify why we are not where we want to be and what is holding us back. Since my ADHD diagnosis in 2024, I have been asking myself what my relationship with time is like. There are a few moments I get lost in time, and they are a gift and a curse. I call this Hyperfocus / Time Blindness Something that I noticed is that I scattered my attention everywhere and that lead me to burnouts and not feeling like I achieved anything by the end of the day. I would even say decision fatigue is a huge one too because it makes us navigate to quick dopamine sources for stimulation. Time is such a precious asset we have, but often we are spending it in the wrong places doing the wrong business activities or not working on the bottleneck. It impacts other areas of our lives without us even realising too. You want to grow your social media? You want to build a thriving skool community? You want to ship your work? This all requires time and energy, and you need to protect both at all costs. The amount of time will not matter and I know because I have experienced both side. Going Full time on skool was actually harder for me to start then I had to time block and optimise my calendar to protect those windows in my day. You have to sacrifice things to protect that time, and that is the harsh reality of building a personal brand, community, following, and anything purpose driven. Look closely at your relationship with time, and it will leave clues about what you need to work on most right now to make progress on your mission. Where do you want to protect your time?

@Bill Widmer I really think it was just focusing on one thing at a time. I made mistakes but those were when I navigated to shiny objects

@Maddison Krauss yes this is very common for us. The biggest problem we face is task switching which is what leaves us feeling scattered. The main thing is being mindful of this and focusing on one thing at a time (simple but not easy)

I gave away my $5,000 SEO strategy for free (here's the recording)
There's a way to get high-quality people finding YOU every single day, for free, without posting content or running ads. It's called search engine optimization (SEO) — and most community builders are completely ignoring it. I've been doing SEO for over a decade. I charge clients thousands of dollars per month. And yesterday, I jumped on a live workshop with @Matthew Burns and walked through the exact keyword research process I use with clients like Ahrefs and SEMrush. Here's what we covered: → A free AI workflow that's replacing $200/mo SEO tools (I use this daily) → Why chasing "high volume" keywords is a trap (and what to target instead) → The 11-keyword framework Skool is rolling out soon, and how to position yourself before everyone else catches on → How to set up your ProveWorth keywords so free, high-intent members find YOU on autopilot If you run a community, course, software, ecommerce, or coaching business and you want free members without grinding on social media... this workshop is for you. Watch the full recording below ⬇️ Drop your niche in the comments and let's talk about what keywords could work for you.

We got a divorce 🥴
Hey Founder fam—you may have noticed some big changes lately. Over the past few weeks, Rex and I have had a lot of honest conversations about the future of what we’ve been building together. And after a lot of thought and care… We’ve decided to get a divorce 🤝😂 In all seriousness, this wasn’t an easy decision. @Rex Loyer and I are ending our business partnership. We have a lot of love and respect for one another, and Focus Founders wouldn’t exist without both of us. I especially want to acknowledge Rex for the role he’s played—helping me to stay focused when shiny objects hit (yay ADHD 😄), running the daily ETF co-working sessions, and bringing the Accelerator program to life. I appreciate the hell out of you, dude. Thanks for building this thing with me. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀: Rex will continue building his coaching business under the Focus Founders brand name. And I’ll be continuing with this community, but evolving it into something new: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔽𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕤 𝔾𝕦𝕚𝕝𝕕 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱? The Founder's Guild is the natural evolution of what we started with Focus Founders… But with a deeper focus on what this has always really been about: 👉 helping ADHD and neurodivergent entrepreneurs build businesses and lives that actually work for their brains 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲? I originally started this community before Rex and I met, as the ADHD Entrepreneur’s Playground. My vision has always been to help ADHD founders lead lives they love. That is not changing. It’s still about: - The people - The energy - The mission of helping ADHD founders thrive If you’re here, you’re in the right place. We will also continue to offer the 5 AM CST virtual co-working sessions as well as the 12 PM CST in-person Thursday sessions in Austin. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴? - The name → The Founder's Guild - The direction → even deeper into ADHD, creativity, and building a business and life you love - The 10 AM CST co-working sessions will be paused until further notice.

very powerful post and glad that you both came to a mutual agreement. that must have been very difficult but well done for being honest and true to your visions
Questions for those who are medicated for ADHD (or medication in general)
I would like to hear some first hand experiences if you are willing to share. I have recently been encouraged to seek ADHD medication and as someone who hasn't used meds, it is very hard for me to imagine what exactly it could do for me and if it is something I want to pursue. I guess I am trying to decipher how much of my mental struggles are due to ADHD or if it is something else, and what medication could potentially "fix" for me. I'd like to hear about - - What are your experiences with different types (stimulants/non-stimulants)? - What major struggles you had before and how medication helped? - If it was something that helped temporarily or a long term solution? - How does it affects your mood? Has your ADHD linked to depression? - Any other experience/information that might be relevant Any comments would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
