✨ 𝙷𝙰𝚂𝙷𝚃𝙰𝙶 𝙳𝙰𝚈 | 𝚆𝙷𝚈 𝙸 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚁𝚃𝙴𝙳 𝙼𝚈 𝙲𝙾𝙼𝙼𝚄𝙽𝙸𝚃𝚈 ✨ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚: “I thought this group would be…”a cozy, honest space — like sitting around a table with coffee — where faith-filled moms could talk about life, money, dreams, and doubts without filters and with no judgement. I am not truly familiar with a "I am rooting for you even when I may struggle" culture - Like we learn from the Bible. I wanted to create the support, motivation, and heart conversations I was craving myself. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 (𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐨?): For moms who are strong for everyone else but quietly exhausted. Women who love God, carry responsibility well, and still feel unseen — needing encouragement, nurturing, and permission to believe in themselves again and to try something new and push through even well everyone else tells you you will fail. I wanted to be their hope, their belief motivator. 𝐌𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥: Success looked like connection. If one woman felt less alone…if one mom started believing she was capable again…If one mom could grow closer to her heavenly Father....that felt like a win. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞: As I poured into others, something unexpected happened — I started believing in myself more too...... Watching women show up, try again, pray boldly, and take small brave steps and even shared their weak moments, their I will try again tomorrow prayers - healed parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing. My community healed me more in some ways that I even could imagine I could do for them sometimes. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈’𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭-𝐦𝐞: You only need to listen to that "nudge" that God places in your heart, don't think that you need to be qualified. I am an certified chartered accountant, but this "desire" had nothing to do with numbers, yet my personal fuel tank is now running over in the goodness of God - he will equip you as you listen to His calling and purpose for your life. And girl, 𝑰𝑻 𝑰𝑺 𝑺𝑶𝑶𝑶𝑶 𝑴𝑼𝑪𝑯 𝑩𝑬𝑻𝑻𝑬𝑹 𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑵 𝒀𝑶𝑼 𝑪𝑶𝑼𝑳𝑫 𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑹 𝑰𝑴𝑨𝑮𝑰𝑵𝑬 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑺𝑬𝑳𝑭! Create the space you wish existed — God will meet you there and grow you alongside it.

When I started Tinker & Type, I thought it would be a small place to collect my thoughts so they didn’t keep rattling around in my head. A quiet corner where I could make sense of how I work, and maybe help a few other creative people feel less scattered too. The problem I was trying to solve was my own overwhelm first, and then I realized how many other creative business owners were carrying the same thing. So many ideas, so much responsibility, and not a lot of systems that actually fit real life. Especially if you’re juggling kids, shops, side projects, and a brain that refuses to be linear. I did have a bigger vision even then. I’ve always believed in having a plan. What I didn’t have yet was the understanding that the plan didn’t need to be built all at once. Back then, success looked like small proof points. A few people inside Tinker & Type feeling calmer after a post, or saying “okay, I can actually do this.” That felt like enough to keep going. What surprised me was how deeply that approach resonated. People weren’t avoiding big goals. They were just exhausted from trying to execute everything simultaneously. They wanted direction and breathing room. A long view paired with smaller steps that didn’t require burning everything down to make progress. If I could tell past me one thing, it would be this: it’s okay to hold a bigger plan while only working on one small piece at a time. Vision doesn’t require urgency. Momentum comes from letting the work unfold in a way that fits your actual life.

When I first started this community, I thought it would be a cozy coffee-shop vibes place for moms, but on the internet. ☕ A space where moms could talk honestly about money, homeschooling, and all things natural health. Something meaningful, without pretending we had it all figured out. Just real women having real conversations over a hot cup of coffee, tea or whatever your jam is. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞: I was building this for stay-at-home and homeschooling moms who felt like there had to be more than living on repeat. Same routine. Same chores. Same Groundhog-Day feeling… while still wanting more time with their kids, not less. Moms who wanted to experience life alongside their children, pass on family values, learn together, and still create income in a way that didn’t steal them away from home. 𝐌𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥: Purely momentum. Getting women to show up and start conversations. Find out what ws keeping them up at night and what their goals were. If it helped even a handful of moms feel less alone and more capable, that felt like a huge win. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞: How much courage it takes for a woman to say out loud, “I want more.” And how fricken powerful it is when she finally does. I didn’t expect the depth of connection, the vulnerability, or how much I would grow right alongside this community… or how it would slowly start to feel like a family. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈’𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭-𝐦𝐞: Stop waiting until you feel ready. Build it messy, but build it honest. Share your ideas. And if something doesn’t work, say that too. Let people in instead of disappearing. Communication matters. We’re all human. We all mess up. And no one here expects perfection… they just expect you to be real.
