Here's why 99% of players never improve.
Most players don't realize there are 3 phases to actually getting better, and if you miss even one, you won't improve. They just shoot around randomly and wonder why their game stays the same. You're probably making this mistake right now. You go to the gym, take some shots, and leave thinking you got better. But you have no idea if you actually improved because you're not tracking anything. Phase 1: Test yourself. Pick 7 spots on the court and take 10 shots from each, then write down your score. Phase 2: Fix your weak spots. If you're missing right-wing pull-ups, tomorrow's workout is 30 right-wing pull-ups on a timer. Phase 3: Review. End every workout by writing down one thing you did well and one thing to fix tomorrow. That's how you grow every single day. Not by guessing, but by tracking real progress and attacking your weaknesses systematically. is it okay to do like 3 weeks straight of just midrange shooting after the 2 weeks training plan you gave me to master the midrange?
Weekly Check-In 🏀
What's up everyone, Time to lock in and reflect. Answer these 4 questions below so I can adjust your plan for the week ahead. 1. Which one of your targets did you feel like you made progress on the most, and did you do all the workouts I assigned you? (Be honest.) 2. Biggest win from this week? (shots, strength, confidence, etc.) 3. Biggest struggle? 4. Did you do your weekly journal entry? What's been working? What hasn't been working? Reply with 1–4 in order. If you didn't do the work—say that too. Can't fix what I don't know about. Let's tighten up for next week. If you're not doing the 2-week challenge or 6-week challenge yet, do that now here: https://www.skool.com/hoopsacademy/plans — Tyler

Most players aren't failing because they're not talented enough
How many hours per day would you have to put in for it to be unreasonable for you to fail? Think about that. Not "how many hours do you feel like putting in." Not "how many hours sounds motivating." How many hours would make failure unreasonable? 2 hours? 3? 4? Here's the problem: Most players never answer that question. They train when they feel like it. They go hard some days. Skip others. They put in "enough" effort to feel good about themselves… but not enough to actually guarantee results. And then they wonder why they're stuck. Here's the truth: The players who break through aren't more talented. They just decided what standard they're holding themselves to. They know exactly how much work it takes. And they do it. Every single day. No negotiating. No excuses. No "I'll make up for it tomorrow." They made failure unreasonable. So here's the real question: What's your standard? Not what sounds good. Not what you hope is enough. What are you actually committed to? Because if you can't answer that… You're not stuck because of talent. You're stuck because you never decided what it would take. Drop your answer in the comments. How many hours per day would make failure unreasonable for you? Let's see who's serious. The players who answer this question honestly are the same ones who stop making excuses six months later.
