HAPPY NATIONAL FRIEND'S DAY! ❤️❤️ A little info, a little chaos, a little spice, and a $26/month plot twist. Some of you ask, "what are you doing this Wednesday?" Today’s theme is Thermal Drift Wednesday, which is basically our weekly reminder that: Your temperature is snitching on you harder than your group chat. If your hands are colder than your ex’s heart, we need to talk about your nervous system. If you’re sweating while sitting still, your mitochondria are saying, "It's hot as hell." But since you’re here, here’s a taste: - Hot face? Your body is filing an HR complaint. - Cold hands? Your nervous system is clutching its pearls. - 2 PM chills? That’s a glucose plot twist with attitude. - Night sweats? Your hormones are doing an interpretive dance. - Random heat wave? Your mitochondria are gossiping again. And yes, men and women drift differently. Women: Women run colder because their bodies are running a 24/7 VIP club called “Protect the Core.” Estrogen is the bouncer, progesterone is the DJ, and the monthly hormone cycle is the rotating theme night. So when a woman says she’s cold, she’s not being dramatic, she’s literally conserving heat like a high‑end survivalist. Men: Men run hot because testosterone turns them into human panini presses. More muscle, more metabolic burn, and a stress response that cranks up heat like someone sat on the thermostat. This is why men sleep like they’re roasting on a spit while women are wrapped like burritos. If you’re reading this from another community, thinking, “Wait, why does this actually make sense?” Or “Why is my temperature suddenly telling on me?” Well, that’s exactly why I opened the doors to my community for $26 this month in honor of my son’s birthday month and the legacy he left me. #TIPTUESDAY – Why Your Child Is Fine One Minute… and Melting Down the Next
Ever feel like your child shifts moods so fast it gives you whiplash? They’re happy. Playing. Laughing. And then suddenly… tears, anger, shutdown, or explosive behaviour. And you’re left thinking, “What just happened?” Here’s something most parenting advice never talks about: Sensitive children don’t just experience their own emotions. They also connect with and experience the emotional energy around them. If you’ve had a stressful morning… If school felt overwhelming… If someone nearby was anxious, frustrated, or upset… Your child may be responding to something that isn’t even “theirs.” And because we’ve all been taught that we only feel our own emotions, they automatically assume what they’re experiencing belongs to them - and they attach it to whatever is happening in their world. That’s when the meltdown seems “random.” TODAY’S TIP (start to practice this when it’s not crisis time) As you step in to calm your child, remember: They may have just connected with your emotional state - or someone nearby - and it’s pushed them past their ability to cope. While managing the behaviour, pause and ask yourself: • “Is this emotion actually theirs?” • “Whose energy might they have connected with?” (someone mentioned, looked at, or thought about?) • “Am I truly calm, or did something trigger me - even briefly?” Start by acknowledging their experience. It might be emotional, physical, or even racing thoughts. Even if you’re unsure what’s happening, make a gentle general statement so they feel seen. Then refocus yourself first. Find a calm, centred, loving space within you. Use a memory if needed - a sunset, a pet, a moment that makes everything inside you soften and sigh. Feel the feeling… then let the image go. Now help them reset instead of trying to reason. Simple 2-3 minute reset: • Place your hand gently on their back • Take two slow breaths together • Say softly: “Let’s let go of anything that wasn’t yours today.” • Have them shake their hands or feet and imagine it falling away

Most of us spend the week looking after everyone else. Sunday is a good chance to check in with you. Rest might mean slowing down, switching off, or choosing something that makes you smile. It doesn’t need to be perfect or planned. Taking time out isn’t lazy. It's how we recharge so we can show up better. I’d love to know, what are you doing today to reset before the week begins?
