What am I missing?
My first D&G scent was The One EDT. I really liked it and I would get compliments on it quite a bit but I noticed 2-3 sprays was plenty and possibly overkill. I then got Light Blue Intense for summer and again, 2-3 was plenty. Then I decided to get The One Eau Intense for this winter. I prefer its scent to the EDT but honestly with 5-6 sprays it still never gets noticed at all. I know there are plenty of variables and just because itโ€™s a higher concentration doesnโ€™t mean it has better longevity or projection etc. but Iโ€™m honestly baffled at how I could bathe in this stuff and it wouldnโ€™t make a dent. Pretty disappointing. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@Tim Nicklis thanks brother!
Is Intense not so Intense? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
I love my D&G The One for the cooler months but I wanted to try something different for spring/summer. I really like my Versace Pour Homme and it gets a lot of compliments but I figured Iโ€™d stick with D&G and get the light blue intense. I remember liking the OG light blue. Immediately I smell the lemon and I donโ€™t dislike the fragrance at all but it seems like 30min later I can barely smell it. Not sure if I go nose blind that quick but Iโ€™ve only received one compliment and you know we all need more than that ๐Ÿ˜Ž. I looked up the batch code and itโ€™s only a year old. Am I missing something? I bought it from Fragrancenet.com

@Justin Tillery I donโ€™t know if I could go that hard in the paint. Sometimes Iโ€™ll do two on the neck, one on the back of the neck and I feel like Iโ€™m over doing it. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@Justin Tillery of if I get propped on the door outside to air-out, Iโ€™m blaming you. Haha ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

If you could personify an add image, I'd call these: Blue Steel! Well done. ๐Ÿ‘Œ
Sauvage EDP
I recently bought some samples through microperfumes. I had never tried Sauvage before. I've heard so many times about how it's a "fresh, soapy, out of the shower" scent. To me it just smells like I put on a lot of baby powder. Am I missing something? Is this how it really smells? I was told the site was legit and the other samples are great. Just wondering. I know not every scent is good for everyone no matter how popular it is. It's not bad, just underwhelming....

I had no idea there was such a different consensus between EDT, EDP, Parfum & Elixir ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Thanks guys!

@Julio Gutierrez Yeah, that's why I get samples. I'm not pulling the trigger on any of them before trying them on me.

I had posted about this a while back on the main RMRS page but I figured since I'm a part of this group now, I'd post about it here. A few years ago when I was a complete Noob (Now I'm only a moderate noob๐Ÿ˜Ž) I bought this on Ebay. I had heard a bunch of rave reviews from "influencers" and found this at quite the discounted price. So naturally I bought it despite warnings from childhood about "If it's too good to be true....etc." When I got it I was impressed by the packaging. It all looked really legit. To think that this much effort and money would be spent toward faking a fragrance is pretty impressive despite being reprehensible. What made me start to realize that like Tommy, I'd been hosed, was the fact that it just smells like pure dried tobacco leaves. I know Herod has a middle note of Tobacco and I'm sure it's pretty prominent, this was just that and really nothing else. Sweetness and Tobacco. Granted it's not offensive, just clearly not the real deal. I did a little research and the main way to tell it's fake despite the very convincing numbers is the cap. This cap looks good, but it's very light cheap plastic. Anyway, just wanted to share this burn so some up and comping Noobs can learn from my hasty mistake.

@Daniel Pedraza Wow, that's wild that Walmart would have had that on their site. Alas, a refund was not in the cards for me. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@Daniel Pedraza Haha, the sting has dissipated over the course of 3-4 years, but I agree. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
