We have an ice cream truck in our neighborhood again! I haven't seen one in years, and the first time I heard that familiar music, I couldn't help but smile. 😂 It took me right back to being a kid, hearing that music in the distance and hoping I could get outside before the truck disappeared around the corner! Funny how something so simple can bring back so many memories. ❤️ What about you? Is there a sound, smell, song, or little something that instantly takes you back to your childhood? And now I'm curious...did you have ice cream trucks where you grew up? 🍦😂

Congratulations to @Donna Thornton! She rewrote our About page and created a new community image, and now we appear in the number 1 position in Skool Discovery when people search for "Skool growth." We all know she doesn't like to talk about her own success, so I'm doing it for her. P.S. I usually get a very serious look from her afterward. :) Also, Skool started showing Skoolology in its Meta ads this morning. Coincidence? I'll share my thoughts on why later. Remember the new very important rule: once one person clicks your ad and pays to join, Skool moves your community up to Growth Boost level 2, where Skool creates about 10 different custom ads for you, as long as you meet all of Skool's other requirements.

Community builders have access to more ideas, strategies, frameworks, and experience than ever. And honestly, a lot of it is really good. But two smart, experienced people can suggest very different approaches…and both can make sense. Different communities. Different people. Different goals. Different stages of the build. So I’ve been wondering... 👉 When you come across an idea or piece of advice that sounds good, how do you decide whether it makes sense to try in YOUR community? What moves you from “That’s a good idea.” to “That’s worth testing in my build.” Maybe it fits something you’re already noticing. Maybe you’ve seen it work somewhere similar. Maybe there’s evidence behind it. Maybe someone understands your particular situation. Or maybe you decide in a completely different way. 🔬 That’s what I’m curious about this week: How do we decide when good advice fits our particular build? I have some ideas about where this could take us, but I’m keeping those to myself for now. 😂 I want to hear how YOU decide first.

I've had a few conversations lately with builders who are trying to get more of the right people through the door. So when @Des Dreckett shared this, I asked if I could bring it over here. Des put together 10 Ways to Get People Into Your Skool Community, with practical ideas for YouTube, commenting in other communities, Classifieds, events, presenting in other communities, your About page, and more. Thank you, Des, for putting so much work into this and letting me share it with our builders. ❤️ But here's the part I REALLY want you to notice... Des isn't telling you to go do all 10. His advice is to pick two, test them for six weeks, pay attention to what actually brings people in, and keep what earns its place. That part feels especially important. Because when traffic is slow, it's really easy to collect another 10 things we could be doing...and suddenly we're trying to do all of them. 😂 I'd rather see you use this as a menu. Read through it. Notice what makes sense for your community, your people, and the time you actually have. Pick something to test. And, I'd love for you to come back and tell us what happened. If you look through all 10 and aren't sure what makes sense to test first, bring that question here, too. That's exactly the kind of thing we can think through together. Thank you again, Des.
