Please Introduce Yourself
One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! Today, I'd like to invite you to take a step back and introduce yourself to the group by answering the following questions: 1. Who are you personally? 2. Who are you professionally? 3. What is something you love doing outside of work? 4. What is something surprising about you? As you open up and make more connections, you will find that not only are people more interested in what you do, but they will also be more interested in helping you make connections with other people they know! 😉 After you introduce yourself, please scroll through the other introductions and add a comment to someone you have something in common with or would like to know more about. 😊 Please add your introduction in the comments below! ⬇️

@John Richard Lloyd-Hughes No need for sorry! I appreciated it! It's nice to be free to be silly on a regular basis.

@Shannon Boyer it definitely takes a fair amount of effort. One must be adept at being in the right place at the wrong time. Or at the wrong place at the right time. I never have been able to figure that part out... 😊 short versions: at work, coworker on a ladder about 20 feet up, holding a 30+ lb box. ladder started to topple as I walked by. I grabbed the ladder, saving him from a drop to a concrete floor. He dropped the box and the corner of it hit me on the head (roughly 9,000 pounds of pressure). passenger on my motorcycle had a tonic clonic seizure. I was thrown 14 feet head first into a tree. I woke up just shy of 3 weeks later. In order to avoid an accident, I ended up off the road, and was superman (again) as a result. landed on my head and left shoulder.
You don’t need more wellness advice.
You need a better system. Functional Living Academy exists for people who are tired of chasing tips, trends, and quick fixes — and are ready to build foundational wellness that actually holds up in real life. This is a community for learning how the body works as a system, not a collection of symptoms. We focus on: • food quality over food rules • daily practices over extremes • understanding cause and effect • building capacity, not perfection Inside Functional Living Academy, wellness isn’t about doing more. It's about doing the right basics, consistently, and understanding why they matter. If you’re looking for:– clarity instead of confusion– structure instead of overwhelm– community instead of isolation You’re in the right place. Functional wellness isn’t a trend. It’s a way of living — and it starts with learning how your inputs shape your outcomes.

@Alison St. Romain Absolutely! I love sharing about what I do and why I do it! I have some information about what I have been through in my community. And over the last couple of days, I have been toying around with the idea of posting a more complete story about what I have been through, as well as my methods, in my classroom. Mostly so it doesn't get lost in the feed. Is there anything specific you would like to know about? Also, I would love to know more about what you had been up to, what led you to it, and what made you decide to close your community down. There more people in the wellness space that we have on skool promoting valid information, the better!

I have been on my personal wellness journey for over thirty years. In that time I have tested and created effective methods to facilitate change.
