Guys, I have been thinking… There are a lot of goalkeeper parents in this community, so I have decided to create a new section called Just4Parents. Over the years, I have laughed and cried with thousands of goalkeeper parents, so I truly understand how hard it can be to help your child on their goalkeeping journey. And please do not ever feel embarrassed by that. Goalkeeping is a very specialist position. Unless you have actually played in goal yourself, it can be very hard to fully understand what your child is going through, what they need, and the best way to support them. That is exactly why I have created this section. Once a week, I will post tips, advice, and support to help you better understand your goalkeeper child and help them move closer to their dreams. This will also be a place where parents can share their own experiences, support each other, and realise they are not alone. So if you are a parent of a goalkeeper and you need help, please post your questions in this section. We are here to help you. You do not have to go through this goalkeeper journey alone anymore. Freddie’s team played their old rivals last night (aka half his class who’d been giving it the big one all day saying they were going to win 😂)… safe to say that didn’t age well 😅 A solid 6–0 win 💪⚽️ and Freddie kept a clean sheet 👏 Then in the last minute, us mums (clearly football experts 🤣) convinced him to get involved in a free kick… which he VERY reluctantly did. Instant regret… as he then had to sprint the full length of the pitch to save it 🙈😂 Nothing like a bit of last-minute cardio to finish things off 😅 Moral of the story: always trust the goalie🧤⚽️

I just wanted too share a recent training session I did with Louie Caunter who is based in Auckland. He teaches me lots of little things about footwork and watching the ball all the way. I love my sessions with him.
