Aly, great initial engagement. When the CRM isn't functioning as the true operational hub, you get exactly what you described: things falling through cracks. But it's often worse than advisors realize because the inefficiencies compound over time. A missed follow-up today becomes a lost client renewal next year. An incomplete onboarding workflow creates confusion that burns staff time months later. I use Wealthbox, initially I had it for about two and I really didn't know what to do with it. I called Wealthbox to cancel because I didn't see any benefit to having the CRM. They redirected me to workflows and some integration methods and they were helpful. Additionally, Michael Kitces through one of his partners introduced me to some free workflows. For instance, I excelled like a pro using the Estate Planning workflow for Wills and Trust. I set the timeline for the activity and it reminded me of the actions needed and the questions to ask and next steps. I'm sorry for being long, using the CRM can help with your client flow..
Renewed Commitment to Professional Growth in 2026
Dear RIA Operators Community, As we close out 2025, I want to share a renewed commitment to my professional development and to this community. I'll be honest โ€“ in the past, I've been that member who scans topics and occasionally drops into webinars when time permits. While I've gained value from these brief interactions, I recognize I haven't fully invested in the learning opportunities available here. That changes in 2026. As the founder of Grove Financial Group, a service-disabled veteran-owned firm serving families across the Gulf Coast since 1997, I'm committed to becoming a more effective adviser for my clients. My primary focus will be understanding how successful advisers are marketing to both new prospects and existing clients โ€“ what's working, what's evolved, and what strategies are driving real results in today's environment. I'm particularly interested in learning: - Effective client acquisition strategies that align with educational, value-first approaches - Best practices for deepening relationships with existing clients - Marketing systems and automation that enhance rather than replace the personal touch - How other advisers are positioning themselves in an increasingly competitive landscape I look forward to actively participating in discussions, attending webinars with intention, and contributing what I've learned from nearly three decades in financial planning. To each of you โ€“ Merry Christmas and here's to a prosperous 2026. I'm grateful for this community and the collective wisdom you all share. Leon Grove ChFCยฎ RICPยฎ Grove Financial Group Inc.
