The visitation order with my soon to be ex is changing on 4/3 and my son will be with his father for 7 hours on Saturday and Sunday. My ex has a substance abuse problem and so does his whole family. They are professing Christian’s but from the outside looking in they are just checking off boxes and are very carnal. Please pray God’s covering and protection over my son and that my he would use his voice to stand tor righteousness and to advocate for himself. Thank you so much in advance.

Father, I’m going to be honest… sometimes I don’t feel qualified to be a parent. I question my decisions. I replay my mistakes. I wonder if I’m doing enough… or doing it right. But today, I come out of agreement with the lie that I have to be perfect to be effective. You didn’t choose me because I had it all together. You chose me because You trusted me with these children. So I silence every voice that says I’m not enough. I silence comparison. I silence guilt that keeps me stuck in the past. My qualification does not come from my experience. It does not come from my upbringing. It does not come from my performance. My qualification comes from You. If You called me to be their parent, then You will equip me to raise them. Where I lack wisdom give it to me. Where I feel unsure guide me. Where I’ve made mistakes redeem them. I will not parent from fear. I will not parent from insecurity. I will not parent from shame. I will parent from grace, growth, and dependence on You. Teach me my children. Show me how they’re wired. Give me patience for their process and compassion for their struggles. And when I get it wrong don’t let me run from You… pull me closer. I declare: I am chosen for this. I am equipped for this. I am growing in this. I am covered in this. Father God, We come to You this morning… Not perfect. Not having it all together. But present. Cover our minds today. Every heavy thought… Every anxious feeling… Every moment where we feel overwhelmed… Give us peace. Not temporary peace… but the kind that settles us from the inside out. Cover our children. Their behavior. Their emotions. Their hearts. Where there is defiance, bring understanding. Where there is frustration, bring calm. Where there is distraction, bring focus. Give us wisdom as parents. When to speak. When to be quiet. When to correct. And how to lead without losing ourselves. Cover our work today. Whether we’re at home or outside the home… Give us strength to handle every responsibility without feeling consumed by it. Lord, regulate our emotions. When we feel triggered… slow us down. When we feel tired… renew us. When we feel like giving up… remind us why we started. Help us not to carry yesterday into today. Today is new. New grace. New patience. New opportunities to show up better. And most of all… Help us lead our homes with love, structure, and clarity. We give this day to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When was the last time you sat down… and just checked on YOU? Not your kids....Not your responsibilities......Not what needs to get done next. You...... Because a lot of you are moving all day…handling everything…showing up for everybody…And ignoring yourself. You’ll notice when your child is off immediately. But when YOU are off?You push through it. You feel overwhelmed…and keep going. You feel irritated…and keep going. You feel drained…and keep going. And then you wonder why Your patience is short....Your reactions are quick...Your mind feels all over the place It’s because you’re not checking in. Mental health is not just about “fixing problems.” It’s about awareness. How am I feeling right now? What do I need right now? Am I overwhelmed… or just ignoring it? Because if you don’t slow down long enough to notice…it’s going to come out somewhere. In your tone. In your Reaction. In how you show up in your home. And your children will feel it…even if you don’t say a word. So today, pause. Even if it’s for a few minutes. Check in with yourself. Not to judge yourself...Just to be aware.
