Eliminate “Burnout”…
We’re all meatheads here, but the truth is no matter how much we enjoy training, eventually we’re gonna have our peaks and valleys with the level of enthusiasm we have towards it. And if left unattended, this can eventually lead to a level of burnout that makes you fall out of love with training all together. My remedy for this is simple… Have some other hobbies in conjunction with lifting! For me it’s archery, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and competition barbecue. Some may argue that having multiple loves takes from the MAXIMUM you can get from one, but I find that being passionate about all of these hobbies keeps me from getting TOO hyper focused on one hobby (which makes those natural ebbs and flows of enthusiasm seem less extreme)… With that said, for the sake of getting to know more about you, what are some of the additional hobbies you’ve got?? Let me know in the comments or replying to this email…

Curious What YOU Think
Before I film a YouTube video that will UNDOUBTEDLY get me a lot of hate, I wanna know your opinion on the matter. What’s more important for your overall health? DIET or EXERCISE? Let me know your opinion and why… Hands Up…KEEP FIGHTING!!!

Exercise. Without it, no diet can ensure that you will keep the capacity of walking, lifting stuff, having good cardio capacity and a good osteomuscular health. The elders I see reaching long healthy ages usually are people with boring regular diets but extreme physical activity levels. On the other hand, plenty of old people living like vegetables have perfect diets but stay motionless very long periods...

How are we gonna hold each other accountable to taking the daily steps need of us to nurture our goals on a daily basis? Via a daily accountability check in...Here's how it works. Every day I need you to: (1) Go to the pinned post on the "Community" feed... (2) WATCH and respond to the specific action I call for inside the video... ...and (3) After taking that specific action I call for in each video/post, follow that up with (a) letting everyone know that you DID or DIDN'T train (if you DID, breakdown what you did...and if you DIDN'T, explain why), and (b) letting us know how you did in the diet department (you live specific to your goals or fall off the wagon)... Remember, this isn't a big dick contest where you try and prove how hardcore you are (your RESULTS will speak for themselves). You can't fix what you fake, so be brutally honest if you want the help I and everyone else can offer through this accountability measure. Again...EVERY DAY you need to check in. There's no right or wrong check in post. There's just consistent and HONEST. So do yourself a favor and chime in so that we can help keep you on the warpath!

I was tired so the train was shorter: only 2 series instead of 3 of the folloing: 5x single leg deadlift (70lb bell), 10x swings (70lbs bell), 5x clean and squat (44+53 lbs, changing sides) 5x double kettlebel swings (44+53 lbs, changing sides). In the diet department ithe day started well (protein shake and 500g skyr for a 100gr protein breakfast, 300g of chicken and cheese for lunch) but ended bad... 3 breads with wieners and 200g chocolate. Today I donated part of my chocolate stash and tomorrow will get rid of the remaning of it... I won't be able to do a proper diet having 2lbs of it in the kitchen cabinet.
Solutions > Excuses
Good energy, good contributions, and good accountability thus far. KEEP IT UP!!! Want y’all to think about something moving forward that has definitely helped improve my decision making skills and imagine will helps y’all’s as well. It’s a paradigm shift really where in any situation where things just aren’t lining up for you, you actively seek SOLUTIONS instead of leaning on excuses. Take for instance yesterday. My wife put a million things on my plate. So I had all of those tasks, finishing up storm prep, handling the kids who are out of school, and on top of that daily work responsibilities. Needless to say, my usual time to train wasn’t happening. Instead of just calling it a day after getting the kids down, which I definitely felt like doing given how smoked I felt, I settled on a different time slot that offered me an opening to train. I made a choice to find the time… If your goals mean enough, you’ll seek solutions instead of make excuses! Time to check in!!!

Today I did a Chandlers routine of 3 sets of: 5 lunge-thruster, 5 deadlifts, 5 push up to deadlifts, 10 push ups and 10 deadlifts. All with a 62lb bell. Then I decided to smoke a little more my arms and forearms by grabbing a 18, 26 and 35lb bells and doing 5, 4 and 3 reps of upside-down kettlebell presses. Total time: 15min of training.
The "Alcohol" Discussion...
Seems I got a lot of guys here who appreciate throwing back some liquid courage. No judging here, because I'm in the same boat! Watch this video if you wanna know the way to make sure that you can fit drinking into your game plan WITHOUT derailing the gains train... Before you leave, make sure to list YOUR drink of choice below!
