Working on jumping
Hi! I’m trying to improve my jumping this season so I would love your feedback. I keep landing rear wheel first. Maybe I’m not getting tall enough in the air off the lip? Let me know what you think would help. Thanks!

I’m finally seeing some progress! I am still loading too early but it’s getting better. I’m clearing all the jumps now and feeling a lot more comfortable. Gotta keep at it!

Thanks! I’m open to feedback - I really do want to improve! Great ideas. 👍
Better body position on steep face jumps
I have been working on this jump for a little while and I finally decided to get the tripod out and get some video of it. It looks like my hips shoot back a little as my bike leaves the lip. I think this causes my legs to absorb the jump and I don’t get as high as I would like to. I usually have a small case on the jump after this one. That case prevents me from finishing the trail. Does anyone have any mental cues “something I can say to myself as I hit the takeoff” that can help combat this issue? Is there another problem with my form? Cheers.

@Sean Gordon this is helpful! I have been working on the same thing! I keep loading into the jump too early. Great job btw!
Big win this week! (Sage Fright)
This is my kids favorite trail and I have wanted to ride it with them for years. I have spent most of this season and all last season at Boise Bike Park working on improving my body positioning and this week the work finally paid off. I hope this doesn’t sound like bragging, I’m just excited. I look forward to hearing about everyone else’s successes. Big thanks to Levi for helping me with this win! I couldn’t have done it without him! Cheers!

New Shirt: Manualing is a Lifestyle!
I say it all the time to my clients: "Manualing is a lifestyle": . Meaning, in order to achieve your manualing goals, you have to actually make lifestyle choices to progress. You can't just practice manuals when on trail or in a class with me. . Let me know if this shirt vibes with you, or if you want to support Trail Progress by purchasing a shirt as a gift for someone and what size you are interested in. . These are 100% cotton (no low vibration materials) and are only $25 each. Funding for my first order will go via my Venmo when the time comes. I'm going to shoot for pushing an order through early next week.

My kids and I think you should make a shirt that says “jump like a human!” 😄
