I hope everyone is having a very Merry holiday break! I’m out of action spending quality time with the family but I’ll be back Dec 29th in the Studio! Changes coming very soon: - Q&A/Feedback Calls will now be on Mondays 9am AEST to give y’all the weekend to practice :) - A lot more livestreams between 10am-5pm AEST - Practice challenges and community events will be coming To all the new people joining, I hope you’re loving the lessons please let me know what makes sense and what new content you’d like me to work on. First small gig
I just wanted to share something with You here.. I had my first small gig this week. Just a couple of songs, but for me it was a big break.. I was scared and worried that I will mess up chords and lyrics and everything. But everything went smooth and well, so I'm really happy with that! I guess there will be more soon.. :) At the same time I would like to ask for advice. 1. For once - I would love some kind of mixer with compression. So I don't have to adjust volume from song to song all the time - any recomendations? 2. I was lacking some kind of small monitoring just for me - I guess it is also common setup even for small gigs, righ? Or this is just a fancy stuff and I can pass on that? 3. Any advice from experienced people here? :)

@Brad Simon Thank You Brad! I will definitely try to play in a couple of places next year. Just to check how it is to perform in front of people and break some of my insecurities and shyness. Hope it will all go well. Right now I'm in the process of building a playlist of songs so I will have plenty to choose from later :)

Cover of Linger
Took the day off of work and got in a few hours of practice. Pulled the 12 string off the wall for this one. Getting over a nasty cold so a bit squeaky voice at one point. Tomorrow 2.5 hour gig. Skool seems to have a problem processing my videos to keep the audio and video in sync.

Well done Brad. I love this song - it is especially touching with a second vocal harmony. I even started to practice it a little bit with my wife a couple of weeks ago, so maybe oneday we will make a small attempt on covering this one together.. 😄

Three cover songs - Soyka
It's been a while :) I recorded a couple of quick covers of a Polish artist that passed away. He was one of my mothers favourite songwriters and singers. I did a first pass with a guitar and vocal.. then recorded a couple additional lines here and there just to have fun, experiment, spend some creative time with music. Kaleb - thank You my friend! Mean a lot :) Pops.. You never stop to amaze me.. So many nice and kind words.. Those songs are in fact a little bit important to me, since I heard them quite a few times in my family home as a child. Now I understand them a lot better. Some very nice lyrics here and there and a few simple melodies to sing. So I hade fun covering them. Right now thinking already about some new projects. Neet to move forward and catch some momentum again :)

Thank You guys for such a positive response! ☺️ @Brad Simon Sure - I'm trying to find some time for music - always! Right now preparing for a small gig in a hotel nearby.. And thinking about recording a couple of congs - but properly. Maybe with a couple more people as a collab (if anybody will be interested in joining such a project) - if not - than solo. But maybe better then in my basement.. 😄 We will see.. time will show what will come out of it.
