How to Build Effective AI Agents in Pure Python
Remember last week's video where I talked about the difference between workflows and AI agents? Well... it kinda blew up on YouTube. 175k views in just 12 day! A lot of you were asking about how to implement these AI workflows. So that's what we're going to cover in this week's video: building effective AI agents in pure Python — no frameworks. Which are actually not agents but workflows... but agents get more clicks these days ghehe. In this week’s video, I show you: - How to implement the core patterns you need to understand - How easy it actually is to build them from scratch - How to piece these patterns together to build applications

Very good video! Thanks! I've analyzed examples from ai-cookbook repo, run them and started to play around. Ended with an enhanced version of 1-prompt-chaning.py pattern... a step closer to a functional agentic workflow. Youtube summarizer - my first deployed AI project :)
Hi! I've just deployed my first AI web service. 💪 https://youtube-summarizer-artificium-informatica.azurewebsites.net/ I did it for learning and for fun.😃 It is not a commercial project. I pay for LLM use as long as my marketing budget allows. :) Technology stack: - runs on Azure as Web App Service - written in Python - uses Langchain and FASTAPI libraries - LLM: GPT-3.5-turbo I'm going to implement some improvements in the future. For example I want to implement streaming LLM output directly on the web page (like in ChatGPT). Feel free to test Youtube summarizer (link above). Hope you'll find it useful. Let me know in the comments below! Edit - May 15, 2024: This project becomes obsolete with the introduction of ChatGPT-4o. ChatGPT-4o (unlike GPT-3.5) can summarize youtube videos for free! On the other hand summaries from GPT-4o and my app are different. :)

I've improved it further: - it is now streaming LLM output to HTML page in chunks (like in ChatGPT). Not a trivial task because I had to use JavaScript for the first time in my life. - success ratio for summarizing is much higher - achieved just by sligthly changing the LLM prompt So happy to make the service work better + gained insights/know-how.

@Nabeel Keblawi Thanks! I'm using it for the same purpose. It saves me a lot of time as youtube is one of my main sources of information and learning.

@Lucas Cuervo Submitting your solution to the competition is super easy. Howerver, achieving higher position in the leaderboard is not that easy. :)
Is Freelancing Right for You?
Naval Ravikant, co-founder of AngelList and well respected entrepreneur and investor, thinks that we are heading towards a future where we will all be freelancers again. He offers valuable insights into why this shift might occur Factors such as the rise of remote work, the emergence of freelance platforms, advancements in AI technology, and evolving cultural norms are all contributing to the gradual transformation of the work landscape, working together to reduce external transaction costs. Naval also makes a fair point about humans not being built to work consistently all the time and still be expected to remain productive. Quality of work output is not linear. He describes how the "modern knowledge worker athlete" is most productive. Which involves training hard, sprinting, resting, and reassessing, then using the feedback loop to prepare for the next sprint. Similar to how freelancers move from project to project. If you purely look at the numbers, Naval might be onto something here. According to a recent study by Upwork: - Freelancers made a significant contribution of $1.27 trillion to the U.S. economy in annual earnings in 2023, which is a substantial increase from $713 billion in 2014. - The study also revealed that the number of professionals freelancing has risen to nearly 64 million Americans, accounting for 38% of the U.S. workforce. This marks a noticeable growth from 34% in 2014. I've been freelancing for a decade, so I might be a bit biased, but I agree with Naval's perspective on the future of work. What do you think? Will the number of freelancers continue to increase in the future? And have you ever considered freelancing? What's holding you back? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Interesting and timely topic! At this point of my career I've found freelancing as very appealing option. It took some time (and thinking) to make the change. Finally, started own business last week and got first freelance contract! 🚀 Looks like I'm following the trend. 😁

Thanks @Dave Ebbelaar ! My first contract is in computer networks but soon I want to focus entirely on creating/offerring AI-based solutions for business customers.

For start I'd suggest you to find a good Python course for beginners and complete it.
