Claude 3.5 Sonnet new now just 3.5 Sonnet?
Are you guys seeing only one 3.5 sonnet model on both the Claude page and the Claude app right now? I had 20241022 last night before I hit rate limit twice. Tonight I came back to it and there’s only 3.5 sonnet in the drop-down. The new one is still in my cursor options. Are you guys seeing what I’m seeing?

@Tom Welsh were you having any issues with sonnet in cursor today? It thought it was editing my files but it wasn’t. When I checked the code it thought is was writing to fix my bug there were no changes in the dif view.

@Tom Welsh thanks Tom. How about you, are having any issues with sonnet in cursor today? And do you know if they merged the updated to just Sonnet 3.5 now?
Sonnet 3.5 has changed programming forever, but not for everyone
Unfortunately, Sonnet 3.5 has some access restrictions for members in the EU. There are ways to overcome these obstacles, but do you know any other tools to help code faster? I came across tools like cursor or open source tools like Zen AI, but they produced the best results again with Sonnet. By the way using these tools everyone can be a programmer. Check the video. Do you have any other suggestions for members of the EU?

Put your Claude Project on steroids: A small tip as an addition to Brandon's 'New Claude 3.5 Crash Course' video
I've been working on a complex project with a GraphDB ontology and found a helpful approach. Setting a system prompt for Claude's Project has significantly improved my workflow. I use Claude's console to generate this prompt, which I then add to the project. Here's a link to check out the two templates: one is the SYSTEM_PROMPT for Claude's Project, the other is a template for a PROJECT_BLUEPRINT. https://gist.github.com/bartolli/5291b7dd4940b04903cae6141303b50d Here's the workflow I use to generate these: 1. I import the project requirements or brief into Claude and ask to refine and adjust it to my liking. 2. Once I am happy with the brief, I ask Claude to generate a system prompt. 3. I copy the result when I am satisfied, then I move to Claude Console and go to Generate Prompt, paste this and get the response back. 4. The output is my system prompt file. Run this prompt in the console for a workbench evaluation and fine-tuning, adjust to your liking. Copy the prompt. 5. I go back to my Claude Project and click Edit on the right-hand panel, right below the progress bar of the files storage where it says "Custom Instructions will change how Claude behaves and ..." - I paste my system prompt here. 6. I upload the PROJECT_BLUEPRINT. It's important to mention that using the XML tags and curly brackets somehow made Claude respond faster. I assume that those tags give Claude direct access to the uploaded artifacts without having to perform any RAG operations, which is also token-friendly. A key feature of this prompt is how it guides Claude in choosing appropriate artifact types. It instructs Claude to use Markdown tables for simple comparisons, LaTeX for complex tabular data, Mermaid diagrams for processes and relationships, code blocks for executable code, and SVG for custom graphics. This ensures that information is presented in the most effective and clear manner. Now you're ready to start querying Claude.

I am not a traditional coder. I have been doing some crazy things with full stack monolithic web and desktop apps with the help of 3.5 sonnet but I was looking for a good way to not have to edit my code with sonnet’s edits/implementation. ClauseDev does it really well but it doesn’t mean much if I can only work 30mins a day. Here is the breakdown of my usage for the day. I got Claude to evaluate my code and it said it is 4,200 tokens max.

@Angel Bartolli fam time. I’ll check it out and hit you back tomorrow. Thank you 🙏
Anthropic API - Rate limit being burned through insanely fast - what am I doing wrong?
I’m using the Anthropic API in ClaudeDev. I am running it on a 256 line code app to add some small new functionalities. I just started with ClaudeDev last night and within thirty minutes I had reached my daily rate limit (Tier 1 1m tokens). My prompts were small. e.g. “Add a load button to the main window so the user can load their saved formatting JSON file. Make sure the user does not have to load the formatting every time they launch the app.” And “that didn’t work, provide me with your plan to implement this and then proceed.” I might have had 6 or 7 prompts like this with ClaudeDev successfully implementing two small features to the existing code…..and then my 1m tokens were maxed out. Most of the token usage seems to be coming from output tokens but for such small implementations how are they being used up so quickly? Could ClaudeDev be rewriting the whole code for each edit/implementation instead of just adding to/editing the code that has to do with my prompt? My code is approximately 4,200 tokens so I am not sure why I have so many input tokens. I know I should break it down into a more modular app but this was just a quick efficiency app for work that I was whipping off.

Hey guys, I’m Kris. I’m a Forensic Video Analyst from Toronto Canada. I’m a non coder (can’t write, can barely read code). I have created/creating a twenty script CEP Adobe Premiere extension to fully automate my niche workflow (complete), a fully automated admin workflow (from request, to assignment, to stats, 60% complete) web app for my office, a multifunctional data analytics/Intelegence desktop app for my work (main functionality complete, starting to add new functionalities) and a bunch of other smaller efficiency apps for work. A year ago I could have never imagined creating the stuff I coming out with….all because of AI coding. I showed my boss the intelligence app in its current form and he was blown away. I knew it was marketable but he confirmed it. I’m a new dad so I don’t really have the time to learn to code in the traditional sense but wow is this stuff addictive. I might ask some stupid questions and not use the correct lexicon sometimes but I am here to take my AI coding to the next level and learn as much as I can.

Forensic Video Analyst, veering out of my lane. Not a coder/dev. I have lots of great ideas that AI is now helping become reality.
