Slower videos for over 40s?
I know there's all this talk about quick cuts, zoom-ins, etc, to keep viewers watching, but since this is a group Alexa has assembled of 40+ year olds (in my case, a quarter century beyond THAT!) I wonder if the older demographic is less likely to be turned off by a more leisurely approach. I saw Ron Howard on Conan O'Brian's podcast recently talking about the unhurried pace of the editing, directing and acting on the Andy Griffith Show. Since most of us were raised on *that* type of editing, what does everyone think about -- if not IGNORING -- at least TEMPERING the advice about keeping things moving moving moving in our videos, particularly in shorts, which sometimes feel like I'll have a seizure if they go any faster. Thoughts? As an aside: If you've watched many Andy Griffith shows -- or Bewitched, or Disney musicals -- you'll probably recognize my grandmother's cousin, character actress Reta Shaw. Yes, sad to say, there's a bit of a resemblance. lol!
