Front suspension questions
Any of you lifted guys running a track bar on the front end? I saw a company on you tube that swears by them to stop bump steer. Think it was davis' offroad. Pretty steep pricing on their crossover steering/ Trac bar set up. What's everyone else running?

@Cody Murney I got the same kit from east coast gears on black Friday. I bought the complete kit though. I still got to have my hubs turned, unfortunately I can't do it myself. Can't wait to get the body work done and get to the drivetrain.
Replacing v/c gaskets or…..???
Should I change out my valve covers from my chrome Edelbrocks that I had on or should I change to my Holley MT Chevy badged valve covers and if so does anyone know how to knock out the punch outs for my PCV valve and breather

I like the aluminum MTs better! I had a pair like that for years that were powder coated chevy orange then the tops where machined, so the aluminum fins showed. I gave them to a buddy after kicking em around the shop for years lol
Build a 6.2 diesel or twin turbo first gen LT1
Hey everybody — how’s your week going so far? Just wanted to check in and catch up. We’ve had about 20 new members join in the last couple weeks, so welcome to all of you. Glad you’re here. Now for the big update… The old 6.2 diesel isn’t hurt, but it’s definitely not performing like it used to. I think it’s time to either freshen it up or change things up completely. Here’s my dilemma. I’ve always loved the 6.2. It’s reliable, simple, and cool in its own way… but let’s be honest — it’s pretty lackluster in the power department. Option 1: Pull the 6.2, tear it down, rebuild it. • Roller rockers (maybe 1.6s) • Some head work • Cummins turbo setup • Upgraded injection pump • Fluid damper By the time I’m done, I’m probably $5,000–$6,000 into it on the low end. Option 2: I already have a twin turbo kit sitting at the house for a small block 350. It needs a little work, but it’s there. I keep coming back to the idea of doing a budget twin turbo LT1 build — like a ’95 Camaro or Corvette engine. There are quite a few around here. They’re already fuel injected. I could probably build the engine itself for around $3,000–$4,000 since I’d keep it mild — maybe 5 lbs of boost, stock bottom end, aiming for around 400 horsepower. People do it all the time. But… the standalone ECU and harness setup is about $2,700. So now I’m right back in the $6,000–$7,000 range. So what do you guys think? Do I: • Refresh and upgrade the 6.2 and keep it diesel? OR • Go twin turbo small block / LT1 and make way more power? I think the twin turbo setup would be way cooler and obviously way stronger… but there’s something about keeping the diesel too. I’m still going to make my own decision, but I’d honestly like to hear your opinions. What would you do?

Twin turbo would definitely be the coolest. Me personally I would do a built NA motor, either a big block, stoker 383 or LS 6.0.

I suck at making videos, but here is a sideshow of some of the work I had to do to my Blazer over the past 4 years.

Man that was a lot of work! Came out really nice! Where did you get the replacement upright pieces behind the rear ¼ panel where the tail light mounts?
