Daily profit cracked $5k, its been a while
Haven’t posted a win in a while, but as you might know January is always the cheapest CPA month of the year…. Yesterday we cracked our first $5,107 profit day in months.. A nice change up from December where we averaged $998/day in profit. Yes the PPL game has its ups and downs… I know I sound disappointed with numbers like this when most of you would be ecstatic … I believe they call it…. hedonic adaptation? We always want to climb a higher mountain, but I digress. Point is things can look dark before the dawn. We were struggling last month, so we pulled some levers.. New landing form, new ad hooks…new bid cap campaigns. They all seemed to help.. plus January being well..January.. We are seeing big numbers again. So the moral of the story is don’t quit when things are not great. Dig in and get to work. Fair chance you know exactly what to do…there’s only a handful of levers in this game. Leads Are NOT All Created Equal (And Neither Are Clients)
Let’s get real for a second: Leads ain’t leads ain’t leads. Not all leads are equal. Not all clients are equal. And if you treat them like they are, you’re setting yourself up for a world of pain. Here’s the deal: If you want to build a real PPL business (not just another ā€œme tooā€ agency), you need to get laser-focused on three things: 1. Pick the right industry. 2. Dial in the right market segment. 3. Go deep on the right niche (and sub-niche). This is non-negotiable if you want to win. Here’s where most PPL agencies screw it up: They chase the same ā€œleadsā€ as every other agency and every big lead-gen shop (think Leadify, etc). Everyone piles into ā€œhomeloan refinanceā€ because it looks easy. ā€œEveryone else is doing it, how hard can it be?ā€ Spoiler: That’s a race to the bottom. You end up fighting on price, slashing your margins, and working your ass off for scraps. Worse: Clicks are easy to get. But clicks cost you money. And most of those ā€œleadsā€ are just tire-kickers. They want to know the best rate, or what their house is worth. They’re not buyers. They’re not refinancing. They’re a giant waste of your time, energy, and ad budget. So why would you go through all the effort of building a brand, running ads, and setting up funnels… …if you’re just going to chase the same low-quality leads as everyone else? You need to offer something different. Something buyers actually want. You need to attract real buyers, not ā€œlooky-loos.ā€ This is one of the biggest mistakes I see new PPL agencies make—and it’s exactly what I help my clients fix.
