Introduction
Hello everyone! My name is Jacob and I own and operate a small farm in middle GA. I'm here to learn as much as I can from everyone here and use those new tools/ideas to improve my farm and help others to do the same.

Welcome on board, Jacob. :)
Update on my garden
So it’s been quite a few weeks since I showed some photos of my garden so I thought I would add more for your viewing pleasure. I haven't been able to do much in the garden for the past few days as I have been resting my back (herniated discs in lumbar) and arthritis in right hip (I think it’s starting in my left as well). I did pick up a couple of thornless blackberries “Chester” & planted them in a pot yesterday & today I had a play in my worm 🪱 farm…..& collected the castings. So many worms that I will definitely need another worm farm soon or try @Marty Ware compost system (not sure how to start that atm).

Your garden is great, so healthy! Sorry to hear you are suffering, I can empathise with the arthritis, it is my main limiting factor, too. I would love to see the recipes, also. :)

I have a few solar lights around my veggie garden to keep the bandicoots away. I read somewhere that they don't like light. It works! They moved from the veggie garden to the side lawn, now I will have to light that as well, its full of holes from the little beggars.
Very different weather on the East Coast of NSW
It's gone one from a heatwave to quite cool here on the East Coast of NSW for the last few days. Very enjoyable, but probably wont last much longer. How's the weather where you are? Did this post reach any international members? Please share what the weather is like in your part of the world? Happy Gardening Marty

@Kelly Miller I visited Florida in 2003 and loved it. My cousin lived in New Smyrna Beach and I stayed with him. He took me to NASA and Daytona speedway, all the beaches, it was lovely. I didn't see an alligator, but I saw the spanish moss. I have it growing in my garden here, but we call it Old Man's beard, or like Charlene said, grandfather's whiskers. :)
Hot nights
With nearly 30deg at 8pm and upto 43deg during the days it’s been a difficult time for a lot of my plants unfortunately. What sort of weather is everyone else experiencing in there area.

Super hot here, too. (near Coffs Harbour ). This morning has eased a bit, but still very hot and humid. My bush beans loved it, they have been marking time but now burst into fruit, I got a big handful for my stirfry last night.
