Just got of the phone with my beautiful bride only to find that when I get back not only do I have to finish my large round garden bale project, but now I have to build some new fencing and a revamp on a chicken coup. Seems I have inherited in my absence a female emu, 2 jersey heifers, 4 alpacas and unknown number of chickens. My only natural response was with my natural sarcasm was. “Was it to difficult to just find a partridge in a pear tree” and yes she knows me well so it was just laughter and time I get to put you to work, god I love my queen.

I’m trying to manage my time even better this year as I have several volunteer roles to keep up with. I decided to start a daily vlog to manage several areas I share (inspired by the hub!). I’ve called it my Small Steps Often Journal. So happy that my first sunflower bloomed to welcome in 2026 too 🌻 ☺️ Today is day1/365 of 2026. Can you believe it!?? Daily vlog for 2026 and I’ve been consistent so far 😂 I had a visitor that ate all my blueberries! 😭 Most things going well. Couldn’t believe the size difference in a day on those butternut squash though. We have a few hot days this week so watching the garden closely. First tomato blushed today - yay!
