Another caution to be careful
My dear friends. Please make sure you do not commit to anything offered on this community. And, do not pay anyone up front for anything. There are people who are deceitful in this world. Recently I discovered one of our members was pretending to be a famous author who headquarters out of Kentucky USA but, when I tried to coordinate something live with him, he said he was living in Amsterdam. This sent up a red flag and I reported it to skool for investigation. I'm sure that there are also other people here just trying to get customers and I understand that but please be careful not to get scammed.

That you! It's rife everywhere sadly.
When you're a writer, does when you write, feel like writing to you?
It shouldn't. Think about it. When you read something does it feel like you're simply reading stuff? Or, does the story come to life in your mind? That is how your writing should feel. As you are writing, your mind should be playing it out like a movie, so that the reader can read it that way. You should see the actions of the scenes and make the words come out that way. This may seem like a no-brainer but if you want to become known for your writing, you have to write the way you see things in your head. Now, here comes the tricky part. Read your own writing and if it doesn't flow like a scene from a movie, or feel like you are reading a movie script, you need to rewrite it. Remember, if a picture is worth a thousand words and you are a writer not a director, your 1000 words need to paint a picture. So, make it a moving picture and you will have a masterpiece. Your thoughts?

@Zane Dowling I'm a natural first timer. But! I definitely have other things that I need to work on to make it feel complete.

@Zane Dowling ah would love that! Currently have baby brain fog and keep losing focus when writing so that my number one challenge! I also have a verbose style so I rework over again to get the language tight!
Hey everyone, I've made a milestone and a personal goal.
In case you haven't noticed, I am on fire. My icon now has a fire symbol next to it. It means I have made at least 10 posts or likes every day for the last 30 days. I hope I can keep it up. The thing that helped was joining other groups and being active in them. But I must give credit where credit is due. Part of my sucsess is due to those of you who have been participating and showing up to respond or like my posts. Thank you so much for being a part of "The Write Way" and for helping me reach this personal goal.

Please help me figure out the effectiveness of the Live Lessons.
It is fine that I am not getting anyone coming to the Live Lesson recodings, I understand time is a valuable comodety today, but I just want to see if anyone is watching them and if so, are you getting anything from them. If need be I will try to find a different way to help everyone learn but I want to evaluate their effectiveness. Please, I would rather you be honest, rather than keep doing them unnecesarily. You won't hur my feelings.

I don't know if this is helpful but could you record some of those sessions and post videos and then maybe do a Q&A live? Or every so often do an open questions post and then respond live to them? Sorry, I know this wasn't the question you asked but just ideas 💡 for engagement alternatives if you wish to experiment. Please feel free to ignore!

@Zane Dowling yes of course, but I was posing alternatives to the live parts to boost engagement or try something different ;)
What's one good piece of writing advice that's stuck with you?
For me, it has to be "embrace the crappy first draft". Instead of stopping to fiddle with my sentences, when I'm writing the first draft, I keep pushing forward to get the story out first. Then I go back and revise. It's a waste of time to polish the first chapter to perfection if it ends up being cut in revisions! What about you?

@Zena Ryder yes, exactly fix the problem in your head if not on paper yet, I even go so far and dream about it and workshop it in my sleep as my subconscious will try and fix the problem or improve the dialogue and I wake and think "huh" (very time limited it's come to that!)
