Sharpening Your Manuscript for Impact
Editing is one of the most critical stages in self-publishing, yet it is often the most challenging. It is where good writing becomes strong writing. What do you find most difficult when editing your work? Is it tightening your prose, strengthening emotional impact, fixing pacing, accepting feedback, or knowing when to stop revising? At what point do you bring in outside input? Share one editing challenge you are currently facing. If you have found a strategy that works for you, share that as well. Your insight could help another author move forward with clarity.

Thanks for such a great post. As the owner of a community who's focus is editing you would think that I don't have any challenges, however, I would say my challenge is knowing when to stop revising. I have two novels both of which are already on Amazon but I'm currently working on 2nd edition for both of them. Since I've matured as a writer, I find my earlier writing atrocious. That being said, I do find a certain joy in getting a block of writing to a point that I consider as reading the best it can be. I do reread what I've written almost constantly and find better ways of saying what I said. So I don't consider it a challenge but more of a gift that eats up a lot of my time.
