Expert Interview #2 with G.S.: How to Make AI work for YOUR Brain
What if AI could work with your ADHD brain instead of against it? Meet @G. S., Gurvinder Singh: cybersecurity professional, father, and self-described "AI hacker." He's on a mission to make technology actually work for neurodivergent minds & is a member of Focus Founders! In this conversation, we cover: โœจ Why most technology is designed for neurotypical brains (and how to hack it for yours) ๐ŸŽฏ The "ADHD tax:" All the invisible ways neurodivergent people struggle with tech ๐Ÿ”ง How to use AI to expand your thinking instead of outsourcing it ๐Ÿ’ก Practical strategies: chatting with YouTube videos, books, and even your own previous chats ๐ŸŽณ The "bowling lane guardrails" approach to staying on track Listen in if you... โ€ข Believe technology should amplify humanity rather than extract from it โ€ข Struggle with productivity tools that create more friction than they solve โ€ข Feel left behind by AI tools that promise to help but don't work with your brain โ€ขย Want practical ways to democratize AI access beyond the elite few โ€ขย Care about restoring dignity and choice in how we use technology ๐ŸŽฏ Gurvinder's #1 Tip: Ask AI open questions about your goals, not specific steps. Tell it where you're tripping up and let it work as a thinking partner, not a task manager. This one was so fun! 2nd Interview for my own Skool, all about positioning founders as experts AI can't replace. Thanks so much @G. S. !!
I'm a nerd ๐Ÿค“
I've been playing video games since I got Putt Putt on the computer at two years old. I love Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Digimon, Avatar (duh), and tons of other cartoons and games. I used to spend 18 hours a day playing World of Warcraft. I read all the Harry Potter books. I like to dress up in cosplay and go to Ren Faire's and conventions (here's a photo of me dressed like a viking holding a raven at Sherwood Forest). My most anticipated game of 2026 is World of Anterra, a pixelated Skyrim-esque RPG. (I backed the Kickstarter campaign in 2020 and have been EAGERLY awaiting it's release all this time.) I like board games like Settlers of Catan. In fact, my co-founder @Rex Loyer regularly hosts board game nights for our local Focus Founders (and there will be more coming soon!) I also love learning about history and culture. Yes, I DO think about Rome at least once a week ๐Ÿ˜‚ (have you SEEN the ingenuity of the Roman colosseum?! They literally built a colosseum that could be flooded with water and have boats fight each other!! How could you NOT think about that often?!) I also make weird, cute noises at my dog, and I like to go camp in the woods. Bonus points if I get to hear some wubby dubby dubstep and see lasers while I do it. (Electric Forest, I will come to you one day!) Oh, and don't even get me started on Tarot and Oracle cards. My tattoo was inspired by a hummingbird card pulled in a healing card deck. And then astrology... and personality tests... and psychology in general... Anyway... just felt inspired to share some of my nerd-ness with you all. Where my fellow nerds at?! Share your nerdy passions in the comments!

Interview with our very own BILL WIDMER โœจ
I love helping passionate people share their expertise, and y'all all know Bill has a big WHY (it's you). In this conversation, we talk about: -- How Bill helps founders go from from โ€œforcing itโ€ to building a life & business that actually feels fun -- The superpowers and beliefs that make him a relatable expert -- Why ADHD and neurodivergent entrepreneurs are not broken or lazy -- What body doubling is and why co-working (virtual and in-person) can be a game changer for focus What else might @Bill Widmer (and Rex!) not know about their genius? "You're great at..." โœจ GAS UP TIME โœจ

@Bill Widmer Absoluuuuutely!
A meditation teacher saying hi.
Hello friends. My name is Brandon. I'm a meditation teacher based in Austin, Texas. First I just want to thank @Bill Widmer and @Rex Loyer for encouraging me to introduce myself. We have local free meditations in Austin, Texas, and also we have our own school that's totally free to join: skool.com/meditate (link fixed) I recently shared a meditation on New Year's goals that I think was pretty fun to lead and perhaps people would enjoy it. I'll leave a link below for that. In the meantime I'm very happy to be here with you all.

Hi Brandon! I'm in Austin and I meditate too :) Your link is broken though, heads up!
Are you stuck on the whatโ€ฆ or the how?
To make progress in your business (or almost anything in life), you need to know two things: 1. ๐‘พ๐’‰๐’‚๐’• the next right action is. 2. ๐‘ฏ๐’๐’˜ to take the next right action. Sounds obvious. But this is where most people get stuck. Sometimes entrepreneurs donโ€™t know what their next move should be. So we zoom out. We talk about their bigger goals and priorities, and Iโ€™ll ask questions like: - What are you trying to accomplish by the end of this quarter? - If you could only hit one business goal in the next three months, what would it be? - Based on that goal, whatโ€™s one small action you could take this week? Other times, clients already know exactly what they should doโ€ฆ Theyโ€™re just not doing it. Thatโ€™s when the issue isnโ€™t what to do โ€” itโ€™s how to do it. So we dig into whatโ€™s getting in the way: - Is the task too vague? - Too overwhelming? - Tied to fear, guilt, or past failure? - Competing with a dozen other priorities? When we identify the real blocker, we can usually remove it โ€” or at least make it smaller โ€” and momentum starts to build again. So hereโ€™s a question for you to sit with this week: ๐——๐—ผ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ธ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜… If not, thatโ€™s your starting point. But if you do knowโ€ฆ ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜โ€™๐˜€ ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚? Drop a comment with your answer!

This isn't exactly What or How, but it's really helped me to keep this quote in mind every day: "Take it as it comes, and as it comes, take it." As in, whatever the very next step for today is, do that. Also, the question in Gary Keller's book, The One Thing: "What's the ONE Thing I can do such that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?" If that Q makes your brain freeze then just do: what's the most urgent thing between me and reasonably getting a lil snack? :)
