Lowering Resistance Tip ✍️
If you have a lot of resistance to leaving the house because of anxiety, depression, agoraphobia, panic attacks, OCD, etc., something that really helped me was understanding the importance of how you start your day. Sleep can feel like a reset, and when you wake up, you’re creating the momentum for the day ahead. So the night before, I’d choose one simple action to leave the house first thing in the morning. - Decide the action the night before. - Get up and do it regardless of what your brain says. - Don’t spend the morning negotiating with anxiety or avoidance — JUST GO! Even if it’s only for a few hours as you are still taking up territory and showing your brain a new direction. As Star would say: “If you start your day with compulsions, you’ll finish it with compulsions.”

This is great 😁 Thank you!
Question of the week ❓
Meditation is talked about a lot in this community and is a very supportive valued action to use as anchors throughout the week. Before I met Star I only did guided meditations, and I used it to try and fix discomfort (not a helpful mindset). I soon learnt something new in Star’s book and was able to dive deeper into this after coaching sessions how much more beneficial adding in silent mediations to my routine would become. What has silent meditations taught you in relation to everyday life? Despite the discomfort and difficulty, is there something you’ve noticed as you build this skill that you can share with the community? 🧘‍♀️

@Deep Shah I agree! It also taught me to be okay with being bored. And to notices urges as they pass and do nothing about them 😊

Urges to check the timer, get up and end the meditation, or ruminate. So helpful.
Your WINS of the day
This is one of the tools that have such an amazing effect on people's lives. To write down your wins of the day. To celebrate your valued actions, because it shows your brain what you care about, and that you celebrate that instead of trying to fix emotions and thoughts. Every day we're going to write down our three wins of the day. You can add pictures of the things. If you went to the gym, did a meditation, hung out with your friends, or worked on your business. Any win counts. Big or small. This is the first Wins of the Day post. Comment your three wins underneath.

Introduce Yourself to the Community!
👋 Introduce Yourself This is how we go from a feed of strangers to a real community. Take two minutes, tell us about you, then read a few other intros and say hi. That's how you find your people here. Drop your answers in a comment below: 1. Your name and where you're from. 2. Three of your passions. The things that light you up when you're out of your head and living your life. 3. What brought you here, and what resonates with you about my message. 4. What you're working to get past, and what you want your life to look like. 5. What you want to get from this community, and what you'd love to give to it. 6. A fun fact about you. Something we'd never guess. I read every single one, and I can't wait to meet you. Follow your excitement. Star
