Hi! New here ✨
Hi all! I’m Katie. I’m an author, a poet and novelist. I write middle-grade fiction. I also facilitate writing groups for teens in my local community. I love the freedom of my creative work and the joy of making it my own. One of my favorite parts is traveling to cool places for writing research with my family. Of course, I also enjoy the coziness of writing in early morning alongside my dog. I’m in Indianapolis, Indiana. My favorite snack is definitely chips and salsa. So glad to be here!

I loved this episode. Making joy part of the strategy and not something we should hide or downplay. Oof, that’s my childhood talking, too! (Also an elder millennial) I’m learning to allow more joyful expression in my life and work— big reason why I’m here! Okay also I love that Alysa Liu is so open about her ADHD and how it’s part of what makes her successful. I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life so it’s really inspiring to see this in her, too!

Let’s be silly! What are you winning at that isn’t business related? The funnier the better! Could be “winning at thinking I’m the coolest person on the planet.” Or “winning at eating Goldfish.” “Winning at binge watching shows instead of getting work done.” I am totally winning at eating Goldfish crackers as if I’ve been stranded on a deserted island for a week. I don’t know what’s gotten into me, but, I like it! 🤪 I’m also winning at leaving dirty dishes stacked on the counter. What’s your silly win?

Select, Manifest and Level up baby!
Wahoo!!! Last week I decided I am going to manifest leveling up to level 5 to unlock the surprise bonus! I realized it took me a month and two days to get to level 5 in Unicorn Land! I.e. in The Expansion Room! I’m so excited! 😆 I made it just now! (2..24.26) Thank you all for being such a blessing to me this past month - all the course work, calls and community have been SO helpful and I can’t believing I’m already making more money in a creative way - so exciting!!! 🎉 Big or small let’s celebrate it all! Hooray for you!! How exciting. I’m celebrating an amazing group of teens coming to my writing group at our neighborhood library branch the other day. It was a really great afternoon. :)
