Just Finished a 1 week Youtube and Social Media Detox and Good Results...
On my 6 week no coffee, I thought i would cut out youtube and all social media for one week, mainly to stop the news feed scrolling and consuming content, and create more. Youtube content i have watched everyday for some years now. I actually found it easier than i thought, and more in the present moment over the week, happier and also being aware of my own thoughts and creativity, I wrote quite a few blog posts also and found great joy in doing that! Going back to youtube yesterday i felt not that interested to watch much, just Justins latest video and another one, I found the newsfeed and scanning videos quite draining so put my phone down and just focused on being present, feel I can go a bit longer, thought i'd share, as Youtube was my biggest problem and was easier than i thought

You haven't watched YouTube videos for six weeks? Do you think that helps and is important in the initial withdrawal period? I'm thinking of doing that... I'm on day eight without caffeine.

Thank you!!There really must be a connection between watching a lot of YouTube and caffeine, and you have experienced that when you stopped. It made a lot of sense to me, and I'm going to do that to help me too!
Hydrolytes/electrolytes
I would also like to share that, in addition to ginger, I've noticed that during this caffeine withdrawal phase, I feel the need to replenish hydrolytes/electrolytes, and I'm also drinking a lot of coconut water and sports drinks (without caffeine), and that's helping me too...

Justin explained that it's a "rebound effect" and that it will pass... I also have a lot of dreams after I stopped drinking caffeine, some strange and crazy, but I know it will pass.
I stopped caffeine
I stopped taking caffeine and I'm sleeping better, feeling more present, calmer, and smiling more. I'm drinking ginger tea and it's very good. And I'm meditating daily, and also reflecting on my purpose in a journal.
