@Stacy Covitz Well, remember I haven't done these for a while, and I just remember that you had to check (or uncheck) so many things and it just seemed overly complicated picking audiences and things they like to do.

Iโ€™m gonna share something I reckon 99% of business owners wouldnโ€™tโ€ฆ
Why wouldnโ€™t they? Because they donโ€™t wanna be judged. They donโ€™t wanna look like theyโ€™re wobbling. They donโ€™t wanna admit something feels OFF. They wanna keep the pretty-in-pink picture rolling where everything is EPIC AF 24/7 and nobody ever has a grumpy thought or a โ€œhmmm this ainโ€™t sitting rightโ€ moment. No cracks. No dips. No honesty. But nah thatโ€™s not me. I donโ€™t run my business on pretending. I run it on INTEGRITY. My values run the show, not my fear of what someone might think about me if I say the slightly uncomfortable thing out loud. So here goes then Iโ€™ve been feeling a bit deflated in business lately. Not about my skills. Not about what Iโ€™m good at. Not about my clients. I know what Iโ€™m epic at Itโ€™s the landscape For example. I totes love Skool. Itโ€™s fricken awesome. Iโ€™ve met epic humans on there. Iโ€™ve grown things on there. No shade to the platform. But I joined a community that was all about sharing and promoting your business. More eyeballs, more visibility, woopity woop, letโ€™s go. And yes, I know how to stand out in those spaces. Iโ€™ve had members and clients from them. Thatโ€™s not the issue. The for me issue is thisโ€ฆ There was one. Then two. Then about 77 doing the EXACT same thing. Same threads. Same โ€œdrop your link.โ€ Same surface-level promo energy. Same vibe, just different logos etc etcโ€ฆ And Iโ€™m sat there sacrtching my head thinkingโ€ฆ why am I in 77 versions of the same room when one would do? So yeah thatโ€™s grump number one. Grump number two is the fast-growth hype train. โ€œI got 1,000 members in 7 days.โ€ โ€œWe hit 5k this month.โ€ Brilliant. Clap clap. Then you step inside and itโ€™s tumbleweed. Or worse, engagement bait posts that mean absolutely gaff all. And then the owner disappears. The hype dies. The group goes flat. And Iโ€™m likeโ€ฆ if it was THAT strong, why did it collapse the minute the noise stopped? Thatโ€™s not community. Thatโ€™s momentum marketing pfffttt Grump number three, and this is where Iโ€™m being properly outspoken, is this obsession with NUMBERS without DEPTH. Member count. Follower count. Screenshots. But whereโ€™s the damn connection? Whereโ€™s the implementation? Whereโ€™s the leadership once the hype stuff settles?

If cravings feel like they come out of nowhere, hereโ€™s the part most advice skips. โžก๏ธThe problem: Most women assume a craving means โ€œI want this food.โ€ But when a craving hits, itโ€™s usually because something just triggered it, like an emotion, a thought, or a time-of-day pattern, not because your body suddenly needs that food. ๐Ÿ’ฅFor a lot of women, that trigger is simply: โ€œItโ€™s that time of day (or evening).โ€ โžก๏ธThe tip: Before deciding anything, give yourself 90 seconds. โฑ๏ธ Not to resist or talk yourself out of it. Just to notice. Ask yourself: โœ…๏ธWhat just happened? โœ…๏ธWhat am I feeling right now? โœ…๏ธIs this familiar for this time of day? That short pause builds awareness. You do NOT have to win the moment. You just have to SEE it. @Anna Murrietta It's not failure; it's information. If you remembered after, that was a win! Next time perhaps you'll remember before. Note that this is a pattern with me: I conveniently "forget" even though in the back of my mind I can feel the idea hanging around but I ignore it because I WANT the dang chocolate. Some of us are just tougher nuts to crack!

The 90-second pause is for the spike; the moment when a craving hits because of time, emotion, or habit. โ€˜Food noiseโ€™ can mean different things. For some people, itโ€™s just repetitive thoughts about food. For others, itโ€™s strong biological hunger signaling. The pause doesnโ€™t replace biology, it helps with the pattern layer.
