Tomorrow morning (my time) I am being interviewed for a podcast - From Page to Stage, which is for authors who want to promote their book. When it is published I will share it here, but these things may not publish for weeks... But it made me think: -Are podcasts something you want to know more about? My friend Steve Brossman is THE expert in this area and I am sure I can do an interview for the community if it is something you are interested in. I have a podcast. But it isn't the traditional sort, I don't have guests, and we didn't start it to help a business or to make money, we did it for fun! (I know, weird right?!). The Chris and Sam Podcast has been going for around 11 years, with 559 weekly episodes. I don't usually 'advertise' it, because it is for fun, and it certainly isn't for everyone. But it does mean I have some experience in the podcast world. In addition to TCASP, I have been interviewed on other podcasts, maybe a dozen times? I have also been a speaker on many virtual summits. So if any of this is interesting, let me know what you are curious about, and I will see what I can organise for you.

Congratulations part 2 Tauranga!
Fantastic effort from everyone in part two of the event. I spoke to as many of the attendees as I could, and there was universal praise for all of the speakers, delight in the event itself, and a range of favourites. You should all be proud of your efforts, the results come from the work YOU put in. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be part of your journey. I encourage you all to practice your talk once a month for the next 6 months to keep your talk alive, and look for opportunities to use it in whole or in part, at events or opportunities. Your talk well get better the more you do it, and it would be a shame not to leverage all the work you put into it. And if you do get the opportunity to speak using some or all of your chunks, please take a photo and share it here in the WINS!!! to inspire the rest of us. Next year, don't be surprised if your get a call from me to ask you to speak to next year's speakers in one of the workshops. šŸ˜‰

Thank you @Chris Hanlon for your couching tips, critical eye on the performance, and clam positivity when it all felt like it was falling to pieces. It has been an experience and one I won't forget in a hurry. It was a privilege for me to be in the company of an amazing group of smart, talented, and friendly people. I am in awe of you all and what you are doing in the world. Thank you Ps... I am glad its done! But I'm even more glad I did it šŸ˜‰šŸ¤£
Dress Rehearsals
Okay, important note through from the photographer. It is key that all speakers are dressed with hair and makeup done for the dress rehearsal. The photographer will be taking photos during your rehearsal, and you will need to look like you will be in the event later in the day.

Did we get an answer on the hair and makeup? Not one of my strong points, so would appreciate the help.

@Chris Hanlon oh well, rough and ready it is šŸ˜† you did say be authentic and the farm girl in me isn't good at that stuff, so just a bit of hair gel & I'll be good to go 😁
TEDxUoWaikato Part 1
The Hamilton event was a spectacular success tonight. I was proud of all the speakers and the work your had obviously put in. In fact I was most impressed with a comment from Raymond who was in the audience. I have attended perhaps a dozen TEDx events that I have not been involved in organising, Raymond has attended at least twice that number and has always been a straight shooter in his feedback. After the event he said he turned up expecting an academic performance, and was pleased to find that this was a TEDx performance from every speaker! I take that as high praise! Not a lecture in sight! 😃 Well done everyone! I am looking forward to Tauranga on Thursday. šŸ˜Ž

Congratulations to everyone who delivered in Hamilton, and thank you for the well wishes for Tauranga.
Got any tips?
If you have any tips for your fellow TEDx speakers add them in the comments below. I know you will all have little things you do that work for you, which might help someone else...

I have been pacing. šŸ¤”I guess it's the same as walking without the scenery ... it does help me remember, but I have become worried I might forget if I'm standing in one place. So I have been practising that too. I have to say this is the hardest thing I have ever done... I was thinking the other day, thank god I never wanted to be an actor 🤣
