Liquidation
Hey! Just trying to understand the liquidation process, if say (extreme scenario) a product doesn't sell at all after a month or so, how would you go about liquidating your inventory? And how much roughly could you get out of it? (Would you be able to break even at minimum with how much you manufactured the product for?)

Before liquidating as Trevin mentioned you should definitely try continuously lowering your price and try to liquidate it this way. I thing I would add is time is of the essence here, if your product isn't selling within the first week, you need help on diagnosing the problem ASAP. After changing images or PPC strategies and being inclusive of having reasonable price point. The next step is adjust the pricing to help convert the sales while you still have some sort of ranking. If you take the step too late, you will end up having no exposure and will need to rely on PPC to liquidate which is not a efficient option.
Chinese sellers
When looking at data dive, how many chinese sellers is a red flag to not go deeper into verification? So many of the products I'm finding are like this @Trevin Peterson
Chinese sellers

I think it's a contributing factor that needs to be considered but not entirely a concern. If there are less Chinese sellers that's an bonus, but not necessarily a deal breaker. Ultimately it comes down to whether your product will be competing on price point. If that's the case then you would are approaching the product opportunity incorrectly. For example there could be generic dog beds for large dogs or you can have a Orthopedic Memory Foam Dog Bed with Customizable Dog Tag. It can be 90% Chinese sellers selling the generic dog bed, but you differentiate yourself to sell at higher price vs competing for lower price.
Data Dive subscription level
Hi all, seeing which level of Data Dive subscription people are using. The Starter level is for light research and the Standard is for advanced research. Big price difference though. The Starter is $32/mo.. Standard is $124/mo.. And of course we get 10% off! Which one is needed for your first and second products?

I’d say the Standard plan is what you need for proper product research. The main difference comes down to the number of ASIN dives 100 versus 1,000. On average, a thorough product or keyword opportunity analysis uses at least 10 ASINs. With the Standard plan, that effectively gives you around 10 dives per month if you spread them out. Data dive is super powerful for overall product validation and identifying keyword opportunities. While the software offers many features, ASIN dives are required to unlock its potential. Here's what I usually advise people tell people on coaching calls. It's better to spend a few hundred upfront to either get it right or find out it's wrong. Rather then spending a few thousand on the wrong inventory.
Search Find Buy (SFB) Question - Amazon Terms of Service (ToS)
I understand SFB falls into a gray area and technically is against Amazon Terms of Service (ToS). My question is how strict is Amazon with enforcement? Are you seeing more aggressive detection or pattern-based enforcement from Amazon? I know SFB works very effectively - but I'm just thinking about this from a risk management perspective. With improvements in AI, I'd expect Amazon to get better at identifying non-organic ranking behavior over time. I'm trying to evaluate whether SFB is still viable for launch strategy or if it's becoming too risky long-term. @Trevin Peterson what are your thoughts on this? Would also love to get anyone's feedback and insight on this as well. Thank you!

I would say it's still very hard to track, but stay away from anything that doesn't look natural. For example organic sales of 10-15 units a day on day 1 of launch or activity like that would get flagged. I’d recommend a combination of PPC and some SFB to get started. If those aren’t helping improve your rankings, there are likely other factors at play that need attention. SFB can help you reach page one, but it won’t keep you there unless the underlying issues are addressed.
