Are you asking if we program on our own, or use a service to come program for the vehicle? Not completely sure i understand the question properly, sorry. Some people run a star link. I have a box through Verizon I use for internet service. Then use whichever interface I need to to be able to program through that. I have an mdi2 from my GM days that I buy the license to whoever I’m programming through on the manufacturer side and program that way.

@Calvin Pierce what’s your end goal? What are you programming the most? How often are you programming?
Podcast 👏🏼
Well done on the first podcast @Ben Dellaria! @Jason Hughes was a good interview. Y’all provided some good insight. Thanks!

Yup, listened yesterday. Enjoyed it guys!
Payments
My payment method is cash or card. I have allot of senior citizens that don’t have cards they have checks. Does anyone else take checks? I would rather not take a check but I have no choice sometimes.

I’m not a fan of checks either. But if it’s a client I’ve been servicing with for a while and I trust I’m fine with it. We have a lot of older clientele here that they still have a check book for everything. But new customers that I do not know, no, I have several payment methods they can choose from.

@Ryan Shorey agreed. I have a select handful of customers I’ve dealt with for a while now that I’ll only allow them lol.
Slow Days
So I have had plenty of slow days since I started my business. They feel different to me than the slow days I've had when working in a shop for someone else. Anybody else feel that way? Last month was good and this month has been fantastic up until today. I had 1 small job today and nothing else on the schedule. I know the phone will ring and it will pick back up, but it makes my mind wonder and get negative thoughts going.

I think that’s just a part of owning a business in general. Try to find ways to keep busy. Do some training, any equipment or vehicle maintenance you can do that kinda stuff.
Lesson learned!
Well... this is one way to throw my tools!!!. Always check your mounting bolts and straps before you drive away from a job. I heard the roll cart fall over 2 miles away from my house. I learned it the hard way today.
Lesson learned!

😢 thats one of the reasons I solid mounted mine to the wall. One of my fears is something getting loose and destroying other things in the van. Or having a heavy object like that in the event of an accident become a wrecking ball.
