Intro
I have been on here for a few weeks and realised that I don’t think I introduced myself! I am Linda, a full time carer for my husband who has ME and autism, 2 daughters, one of which has adhd and the other has audhd so we are a mixed bunch of people with different needs. I also care for my 87 year old dad who is quite independent but since lock down I have been doing the shopping etc for him. My mum passed away 2 years ago which was a shock and so I am trying to deal with that as well. After finishing school, I didn’t know what I wanted to do , so I just went into being a secretary, which I hated. Then Some years ago I had an NLP session and this really opened my eyes to my passion, which was genealogy. I have been researching my family tree for over 30 years now and it is something I love to do. Also my big love is animals, I have always felt comfortable with them and wish I would have known this when I left school as I could have built a great business by now. Since my mum passed I have found a new hobby… ok this one may freak some of you out but…. I go to cemeteries and clean up the headstones, take photos of them and then put them on BillionGraves website. This really helps people around the world find their ancestors. I run my own pets food bank, which helps many people who are struggling to feed their pets. There is a huge need for this in many places and I just ask people in the local community to give me things that their pets won’t eat anymore. Ok sorry to ramble on, can’t help it… if anyone wants a chat or anything really, please feel free to message me

My oldest is REALLY into genealogy. I will extend a thanks from her to you for your work in cleaning up headstones. Her family tree on Ancestry is massive. And thanks to her AuDHD, she can name most of the people on it off the top of her head. For example, there was a park down the street from her last apartment that somehow had something to do with my mom's side of the family. So she invited my parents to take a tour. She knew who they were talking about, knew who they were married to, when they died, how many kids etc. The lady giving the tour offered her a job as a docent on the spot. Genealogy folks are the best!
Snapshot made me cry
Hey y'all. Glad to be here. I did the snapshot and it made me cry. After a lifetime of not being seen, having AI give me insights that we're 1000% correct? All I can say is WOW.
