Mothers in Real Life!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms inside RealLife Nutrition 💐 Thank you for everything you carry, manage, support, and give every single day — often while still trying to take care of your own health too. Real life is demanding, and you continue showing up anyway. We appreciate you today and every day. 💙

It’s Not Always About Motivation
It’s easy to tell someone to: - go exercise - cook more - eat healthier - join a gym But real life might look like: - working 10 hours - picking up kids - being mentally exhausted - not wanting to drive 25 minutes to a gym - not having money for meal prep services or classes - barely having time to sit down That matters. If someone had meals prepared, a trainer waiting for them, a gym next door, free sessions, and extra time every day… most people would participate more. Health behaviors become easier when the experience becomes easier to access and fit into real life.

Let’s Eat!
At some point today you had an increased desire to eat. Whether that desire landed inside your brain and stomach at 8:00am or 1:00pm, it landed. You quickly decided how, what and when you would eat based on a variety of subconscious or conscious factors (convenience, availability, social obligation, past experiences of certain food or meals). We call this beautiful experience an ‘eating event.’ What we are certain about is that you will have an eating event or two or four, every single day. Increased desires to eat are normal and healthy. Understanding when and how these desires to eat show up in your day can be the start of something very powerful to help you get what you want. Here’s how to start: 1.) Mark each time you decide to eat or drink something tomorrow. 2.) Add a note of when those events showed up throughout your day (8am, 12pm, 7pm, 9pm). 3.) Complete your entry by journaling where you were, who you were with and how you felt after the meal. Your eating event log should look something like this. Wednesday May 6, 2026 Eating Event 1 - 10:00am, at home with kids, still felt hungry. Eating Event 2 - 2:30pm, drive thru, alone, felt overly stuffed. Eating Event 3 - 8:22pm, at home, with family, felt satisfied.

You Already Did This Today
Today you woke up and did the following: 1️⃣ Weighed something ⚖️ 2️⃣ Ate and drank something 🌮🥤 3️⃣ Moved around 🚶‍♂️ We call this The Big 3️⃣ And here’s the truth: You’ve been doing these three things your entire life. 🤯 Most programs tell you to change these things immediately. We do something different. We start by observing them. Not judging the scale. Not forcing a diet. Not chasing perfect workouts. Just learning how to understand what’s already happening in your day. Because when you understand: ⚖️ Your weight 🌮 Your eating 🚶 Your movement You gain direction. And direction leads to results. Not perfection. Not guilt. Not starting over. Just progress that holds up in real life. Start with your day — not another diet. 🤝 Want faster progress? Work with me 1-on-1: https://signup.faynutrition.com/book/joshua-verduzco/fb31b8

A boy and his salad
I couldn’t believe my eyes.. I prepared a bowl of salad with air fried chicken breast. I set it on the table and left to another room. Upon my return I find my son holding my big bowl of salad and about to dig in! 😂 I said hang on I can make you a bowl too… that was his dinner salad with chicken. I still cant believe it.

That’s a parenting win right there 😂 not many kids grab salad on their own — you’re definitely doing something right.
