Picking up your ax
Picking up and playing for a while every day has proven to be good therapy for me over the years. I’ll usually have a “where did that come from?” moment where I’ll play something completely new to me, at least what I can remember. What are your favorite “discovery” experiences?

Very therapeutic! Sometimes when I am just “noodling” (not really playing anything) I’ll trip up on a chord or two and find a song I’ve never played before. I’ll work on it for a while and next thing you know time has slipped away.

New bass.
Apparently I needed another bass. I'm not sure why this happened? I'm kinda confused myself. Especially since I've been looking at guitars for the last 2 weeks. I'll send pictures when it gets here

My son took interest and started lessons when he was a teen. He is a pretty good player but doesn’t get much time to play. I put a guitar in my 4 year old granddaughter’s hands every chance I get. I hope she will take it up but I’m not applying any pressure.

Rhythm or lead
When you first started learning what was your main interest rhythm or lead playing and what influenced you to it?

I started and figured rhythm would be my spot but I picked up the bass and didn’t look back for years. I picked up the guitar 30 again years later (during COVID) and resumed the rhythm part but as time moves on I’m working on the lead. It’s a process for me. I’m also working on the mandolin so who knows what is next.
