From Renters to Rooted: How We Bought Our Dream Homestead Without a Big Income
Three years ago, we were renting, broke, and expecting our first child. After pouring four years of our lives into a permaculture project we didn’t own, we got kicked out. That was rock bottom. But it was also the turning point. Since then, we’ve gone from renting to owning multiple properties—including the permaculture farm of our dreams. We didn’t get there with a big paycheck or traditional financing. We got there through: 👉 Creative financing 👉 Seller deals 👉 Subdivision plays 👉 “Subject to” strategies 👉 And leveraging what we did have instead of waiting to have more It took learning the real estate game and making it work for our homesteading goals—not the other way around. If you’re renting and dreaming of land, food security, and freedom… I’ve got something for you. Over the next couple months, I’m releasing a course on Homestead Creative Financing—everything I wish I knew back when I thought land ownership was out of reach. Curious about how it all works? Drop a comment and let me know your biggest question or fear around buying land. I’ll use your input to shape the course. Let’s break the myth that you need to be rich to live close to the land. 🛠🌱

Self Intro
Hello everyone! My name is Daniel, I’m from Toronto, ON, Canada and I completed my PDC with Bret back in 2020 when it was High Sierra Permaculture. I’m re-exploring this world, and I am glad to see that the community is still going strong! If you’re dealing with this intense heat wave, then I hope you’re staying frosty 😎 Have a fantastic day!

@Billie Rosa ive been doing lots lately. Going to the allotment for me is timeless I can go there for a quick visit to water plants and spend there hours just looking at plants or imagining where I’ll be putting plants next year. Love seeing how the place behaves, where bugs go, how the wind moves the plants. I’ve also been trying to work on designing an app. ( a bit of a crazy idea I have) and I have little coding experience from high school making websites on HTML. But for several days I spend hours plodding ideas with Chat GPT on to how to use various programs and how deploy an APP.

Return to natural living
Hi All, I am new here but already loving the like-minded community! I am a child of Africa but have been living in the UK for 10 years and am trying to get back to nature and the land. I am finding it really difficult with all the laws and costs in the UK so if there are any fellow Brits on here, I would love to hear from you.
