Coaches, what are your go to โtestsโ at the beginning of the season. 45 second, 23 second, 30 fly, 10 fly etc. What do you find to be more reliable.
I rarely get track athletes at my gym. This is a great question. Iโm definitely interested of what works for sprinters, field, jumpers, hurdlers, mid distance and distance. Iโm sure each group would have different standards. I usually test 10, 20, 40, 60 yds & a ton of agility/athletic tests because of the variety of athletes I train. 95% of them would stink up any test longer than 20 secs. LoL! Cardio is not their forte. Either way. I think consistency is the key element to any of these tests. So we can gauge the athletes progress.
Iโm having Olympic gold medalist and 60 meter hurdle world record holder Grant Holloway on my podcast tomorrow! Doing a segment towards the end where he answers your guys questions. Drop any questions for him below.
Hey coach I see from a lot of your videos on all platforms that to you preach to land under your hips but how exactly do I work on that. what drills or techniques I can use. Also how can I work on staying dorsiflexed for long
