Coach I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I lift heavy in compound lifts, I do sprint related plyos, and I do sprints. They are all the 90%+ effort but my start it butt cheeks. I will list my current stats right now. 6'1 210lbs Squat: 455lbs deadlift: 500bs power clean: 245lbs vert: 29-30 10 yard: 1.9 20 yard: 2.9 I have the strength but I think my power isn't up to par with my strength, which is dd because I do plyos consistently. I also need to work on switch speed to I assume. But please coach help me out practice start is 2 weeks and I he shoes to fill as our sprinter last ar ran 10.81 in the 100m

10m in 7 steps
I hear on a lot of acceleration advice is that 10m in 7 steps is considered good. But why is it that I can hit 10m in 7 steps and I still don't feel very fast. Is that claim false or am I just in my own head

@Brett Morse 12.1 100m from last May and 25.6 in 200m. But I have done a lot of plyometrics, heavy strength traing, and sprints so Idk my current times. My vert went up to ab 29-31 inches but dik my speed times

coach, If you had to get the best first step or first three steps of all time, how would you do it and how would you program it throughout the week and what drills and lifts would you do? Thanks coach

Hi, I recently started track and need to improve my slow start. I’ve struggled with low heel recovery for a while so I did some starts where the main focus was to keep my foot low. What else do I need to improve as a first step? (Couldn’t push so much because of the stands).
